Whole Room Vortex Heat Circulation
Maintains Room Temperature Using Less Energy - Eliminates Hot & Cold Spots With Intelligent Controls
Simply set the temperature to the desired setting. The DVTH begins to raise all of the room’s air temperature to the selected setting. When the temperature is reached, the heater automatically lowers heat output and fan speed to precisely maintain the set temperature.
Ordinary space heaters are inefficient, cycling on and off, leaving pockets of warm and cold air in a room. The DVTH provides only the heat you need, when you need it, maintaining your desired room temperature.
Cool Touch Case
The exterior remains cool to the touch no matter the heat setting or how long the heater runs.
Tip Over Protection
The heater will automatically shut off if tipped towards the front or back.
Automatic Safety Shut-Off System
If airflow becomes blocked and overheating occurs, power to the heating element and fan is shut off.
5 Year Limited Warranty
Our whole room heaters are backed with an industry-leading 5 limited year warranty. For more details, kindly check the official website.

Eliminate annoying hot and cold cycles. Vornado's DVH digital control generates just the right amount of heat…maintaining comfort automatically. Vornado Vortex circulation gently and safely warms an entire room. Full function controls, cool touch exterior, automatic tip-over and over-heat protection. Vornado...The most trusted brand in comfort for over 50 years. Model is made for 120 Volts only
Combat the agony of leaving a hot shower for the chilly household air with a blast of warmth from this heater. From industry leader, Vornado, the fan heater oscillates to spread heat through out the room in no time at all. Best used as an enhancement to a heating system, separate use of the fan heater also provides comfort in the fall and spring months during cool mornings and evenings. Small rooms, up to 12 by 12 feet in size, benefit most from the application of the quiet fan heater.
The electronic heater features a convex grill format to allow air to flow most ably. The fan's grill and cabinet stay cool as heat emits from the protected non-glowing heat element. With three power settings for varying needs, the fan heater runs at 1500 watts and 800 watts. The fan can also run with no heat to circulate air in hotter weather. Equipped with automatic comfort control technology, users enter an ideal temperature and the heating appliance automatically adjusts the output to obtain and maintain this level. To ensure safety, the heater cuts power upon tipping over, or if the heater should overheat. For safe operation, read the manufacturer guidelines and instructions thoroughly prior to use. The USA-made heater is covered under a limited one-year warranty. This unit weighs 5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica ReulingSee all Product description

Update, had 3 go bad. One the fan seized up, 2 had some other problem. NOTE: by the time I smelled something was wrong, the heaters had already shut themselves off, or switched to fan only mode... I suspect to cool the unit down. I honestly feel really safe with these. I was caught in a lay-off and was home al winter, ran these ALL day and night while I was up, they really do help save on oil.
I recommend using these as a supplement to the main heating, they are great for maintaining temps, and keeping the heat from coming on every 20 or 30 minutes. I never run them on high, and set them at the same temp as the house heat.... which takes trail and error as I have noticed a 1 or 2 degree diff between heaters. They also keep cold spots from developing. I live in an older cape with leaky windows and doors, these keep that cold draft at bay. When my main house heat gave out, these carried the load for 5 days, during a sub zero January week. One gave out soon after, but it was already 3 years old and bore a heavy load when the main house heat was out. I would NOT recommend for a basement, as the cold air would be constant keeping these running at 800 watts on low or 1500 on high. They aren't made for that kind of duty.
This year I decided to take it out of the screen porch altogether and use it in one of the occupied bedrooms so I can keep the temp on the rest of that floor at 65.
Yes, the fan does run all the time, but it has to in order to circulate the air and maintain the temp. That way it knows when to turn the heater down or up. Otherwise you end up with cold spots, hot feet or head, or just a lukewarm or boiling room. This heater does an incredible job of keeping the temp in the entire room where you set it - and it's digital - so there's no guessing. You set it for 70, it maintains the room at 70.
What was a nice surprise is that not only has my oil usage (and bill) gone down, but so has my electricity - by about $100 this month alone - no exaggeration! Which leads me to wonder how much electricity the furnace uses, because that's the only difference - I have been using all the same lights, bulbs, appliances, etc., as I always do. Quite amazing, in spite of the fact that this is a 1500w/750w appliance that's on all the time.
Decided to get another two - one for the master suite and one for the living area on the first floor. I want to see how little I can get away with running the furnace and how long I can make that oil tank last. I'll update after I've had those running for awhile. Can't wait to see how it works out.
