I have a Nikon M-223 on my zombie gun, but my Vortex is where it's at for my long range bolt-gun. Clear as a bell, easy to adjust, and BRIGHT! Lots of light. I have killed 9" tall Belding ground squirrels at 240 yards using this scope. It's not a problem to clearly see the little buggers at much greater distances than that. Now, if the rifleman could just perform to the same capabilities as his equipment, I'd have kills at even longer distances....
It's first focal plane (FFP), so no mental math when zooming in or out to calculate range. I used the free Vortex ballistic software to match the reticle to my hand loads, even adjusting for elevation when I shoot up in Modoc county (CA). Works great. I printed up the reticle and drop chart, laminated them and brought them with me to the shoot. Using a rangefinder, I could easily place the proper hashmark on my intended targets.
Oh, and it looks bad@$$ on the rifle, especially with the sunshade attached.
I can say without hesitation that every person that has looked through this scope at the range says this, with a little variation in order and wording, "Man, that's clear!", followed by, "How much that set you back?".
Well, it's not cheap, but it works and works well. You (and your rifle) deserve it, so get it. You won't be sorry.
