Product Description
Pro Storm Jacket Camera Covers are the most compact and portable camera protection you can carry with you everywhere you go . . . so you won't hesitate to use it anytime the camera is going to get wet, dirty, or sit in the sun. They are perfect for live shots setups, locker room celebrations, shooting in rain, drizzle, snow, and dusty or dirty environments. They aren't meant to replace heavy-duty covers and rain slickers costing hundreds of dollars when you really need that level of protection. Pro Storm Jackets can be slipped on and off in less than 5 seconds, which means you'll actually use them when you'd otherwise just let the camera get wet because you didn't want to struggle with a bulky cover. When you're done with it, just shake it off, stuff it back into it's zippered case, and shove it in a pocket. The cover and case together only weigh about 2-5 ounces depending on the model. Built from high-tech AquaNylon fabric, Pro Storm Jackets will never lose their water repellency and are rugged enough to withstand the rigors of professional use. Pro and Standard Storm Jacket Camera Covers come in several sizes, colors, and models to suit nearly every professional camera. There are four SLR Models of the Pro Storm Jacket to fit digital/film cameras with different lenses. The Medium size (recommended for most customers) works well for short lenses up through 300-400mm f/2.8. Measure your camera/lens from the rear of the body to the

It goes on quickly & easily and does not bind to the lens barrel. I used it on my setup exclusively in HEAVY rain on two separate days (all day on one) & light rain on most others over my 12 day photo tour. Not once did any water get in except when I pulled the cover back to see how it was coping. It is so easy to use, I put it on most other days because showers are normal & it was easier just to leave on than take it on and off as the showers came. (My friend had a Lenscoat Pro on his D5 setup and was constantly getting condensation inside - mine seemed to breath somehow). I also took the medium & small ones for when I was just walking around with a smaller lens and only used the small one once. They pack so light & small there is no reason not to take one along in your pocket whenever you go out for a shoot.
Two weeks in Trinidad & Tobago, I used it a dozen times; rarely took it off my gear. I is easy to install, keeps the camera dry, and stores in small bag that comes with camera jacket. I have the stored jacket in bag clipped to my tripod, always available.
Two problems: I first bought the XL Vortex Pro Storm Jacket and it proved too small for may setup: Nikon 7100 + 1.4TL + 500mm f/4. The XXL fits great. Vortex should make it a little easier to be sure you buy the right size the first time.
Second; Vortex Jacket does not accommodate flash. Serious problem for me; I use flash on extended brackets with BBeamer often. All this has to come off to use Jacket.
But, I believe this is the best camera rain protection out there.
