This is the first review I have done for any book that I have purchased. Morgan Rice is an amazing author. This series is the first series of books that I have read that I cant put down since reading the Twilight Saga. Morgan Rice takes you into a whole other realm of vampires. This series has so many emotional aspects of it. Morgan really pulls her readers into the story line. I have been extremely pleased with this series. I read Vowed in 2 days. I can't wait to read book #8 so I can see what is in store for Caitlin and the rest of the characters. 5 stars is the highest I am able to rate this book but I would give all of the books in this series 5 stars or more.

The ending of this book caught me off guard with what takes place with some of the main characters. Although I cant stop reading these books when I start them, Caitlins character annoys the heck out of me. For being such the "hero" she is very easily sidetracked by her emotions. She is stubborn and too quick to judge. I feel she could have been more strong minded instead of doubting everything. Its very frustrating. However, she still has not reached her father and there is very interesting turn in her realtionship with Scarlet. Both Sam and Polly finally find real love. Of course Kyle comes back into the plot to take revenge but you must read this one to see who comes out at the end!!

Im reading these faster then they are coming out so they are kind of bluring together a bit for me since there is a time lapse, its hard to remember what plot belongs to what book. It took a few books for ther journey to begin...

I like this series, but wish it would conclude soon. It seems some authors draw out a storyline just to sell more books. Also, I wish the books would come out in conjunction with the kindle edition instead of having to wait for it to come out in paperback, as many readers wish to have an actual book for the price they pay. If you overlook all the typos, mispelled words, and grammatically incorrect sentences, it does make for excellent, and original reading.

Morgan continues what is already a fantastic series with the next book vowed; which is so enthralling you can't put the book down till you've finished it! The plot continues with a few great surprises along the way but by the end of the book your heart breaks as well in the cliffhanger ending. Morgan has created characters that are unforgetable and her books continue to keep you on the edge of your seat. Unlike most authors I'm sure we will not have to wait a whole year to see how the story ends.

Amazing that this series continues to capture me until before I know it, I have finished another book. Can hardly wait to read the next one and hope they never stop coming. It is like reading about your best friend by the time you are finished. You want to know how she is going to solve this next problem. Love all of the books so far. Never disappointed in Morgan Rice. Never, ever boring,

The series is riveting, and carries the reader on the adventure of a lifetime as the heroine follows her destiny. It carries you along at a fast pace you are unable to break. Morgan Rice has a vivid imagination that uses parts of history to add fact to her fictitious writing. If you like fiction you will enjoy this book for this merit alone.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series, but was a little taken aback with references to religous aspects, artifacts and associations. It leads one to believe that the fight of good/evil is fought on many levels.
What I don't like about this series of books in the Vampire JOurnals is the spelling when these books were converted to Kindle. The spelling is atrocious and makes the reader work harder to interpret what Ms. Rice meant to say in her narrative when writing this book.

I was starting to wonder if searching for the keys would ever end! Things started to become repetitive same thing over and over. At one point I thought I was going to quit reading when I read for the millionth time that she looked and couldn't believe what she was seeing, or that she didn't know what people where asking for when they wanted her to use her necklace by this point we could all guess what was coming. Oh and the grammatical mistakes are unreal! Like no one ever proof read the work. Names are constantly being mixed up at one point Kendra was used instead of Caitlin there are missing words or wrong words. Quite frankly my 10 year old wouldn't make so many mistakes. I hope that it was the conversion from book to e book that the mistakes were made. If I paid for a hard copy and found that many mistakes I surely wouldn't continue to buy. These e books are even over priced in my opinion I paid less for way better quality and story line. But at last I am a romantic and I love the way Caitlin and Calebs relationships is portrayed. I love that Scarlet was introduced as their daughter definitely a spin in vampire romance novels. I'm honestly excited for the next books now that there is no more searching for the keys.

I've been reading the Vampire Journals since the second book was released. I've been waiting impatiently for the next book to come out and every one after that since then. Vowed was just as exciting and cliff hanging as the other seven but it's worth every page to read. Fortunately Morgan Rice doesn't make us wait to long for her books to be released unlike a lot of other authors I am fans of. Vowed has some HUGE revelations and both the good things and the bad that do go down make it quite the page turner. It's about 200 pages and took me less than a day to read since I couldn't put it down. The bad that does happen is the worst possible things for Caitlin and Caleb to have on there shoulders. But since Morgan Rice is such a good storyteller the little foreshadowing she gives makes me want all the bad with the good and gives you hope that all isn't lost. Can't wait till book 8 comes out!
