Works, but you need to remove the little plastic rubbery plug

Many people complained about the item not working. What the manufacturer forgot to mention is that there is a small white plug at the base of the top part and the pipe. The one next to the ring around the pipe should be removed. That way the squeeze buttons can pump air into the glass container thereby pushing the oil up the pipe and into the measuring bit. Works well so far.

BROKEN PUMP ISSUE SOLVED!

PUMPING ISSUE SOLVED! I purchased two of the bottles- one worked and one did not pump the oil up to the top. I saw on reviews that many people had non working pumps. Luckily, with two, I was able to investigate what might be different to solve why one pumped and one didn't. After investigation I was able to get the "broken" pump working. You need to check the small pointed triangle plug (see photo). To check this remove one or both of the light gray pumping plugs from the sides of the top so you can reach the plug and remove it. It seems that the triangle point is either stuck together or clogged. Check by manipulating and blowing air into the point until air goes through. (Our was stuck together so no air was going through.) I also checked all of the other plug and gasket type parts. I did move the plastic straw up to the top of its top round gasket like it looked on the working bottle (see 2nd photo.) Make sure you replace the light gray pumps securely. Hope this helps and someone can save their purchase! Three stars because so many people had issues and it took time to figure out the issue- but both work now, don't drip, and the straw reaches the bottom (which some complained about but I don't know why.)

Occasionally I'll come across something on Amazon with very polarizing reviews and will tell myself "those that left a negative review must be doing something wrong! Surely I won't have the same experience as them". Do not, under any circumstance, buy this oil bottle unless you love wasting your money and enjoy experiencing deep feelings of regret.

I used to have Tablecraft (916M) 16 oz Oil & Vinegar Cruet but threw it away when I bought this. In the process of searching to rebuy that simple dispenser this came up in the search results, so I felt compelled to write how awful this is.

It leaks. All the time, no matter what. The pump is AWFUL. It barely gets any up into the measuring compartment. The buttons fall out. Holy moly is this thing messy. Not that any of this needs a photo but I'm adding one for additional authenticity. I'm sure there are decent oil bottles with pumps out there. This is certainly not one of them. Besides, running this page through Fakespot show most of the reviews are fake, anyways.

Check the valve inside!

Wait! Don't remove that little plug! I love this thing, but whatever manufacturer they picked needs to redo the little valve (the plug thing people tell you to take out). We took out the plug like others said, but then you just leave an air hole and when you pour it comes from the bottom and fills the middle chamber and leaks like crazy.

Turns out the plug IS a valve. Just not cut the way it needs to be, kind of like when you slice pizza and make an indention in the bottom of the crust, but doesn't cut all the way.

So, take off the rubber buttons. Look for a the small valve next to the O ring, (others have called the valve a plug), take the little valve out, look at it closely, find the part that is the valve, that will let air in, but also seals itself. Squeeze it, get that seam to perforate, and then PUT THE PLUG BACK IN!

Most embarrassing gift I've ever given

I bought this as a gift for the chef at the restaurant I work at, in hopes it would cut down on the amount of oil servers pour to accompany bread (since we're always dumping a tablespoon of it it in the trash after the guest finishes).

Pros: It looks pretty nice, and the rate at which oil exits the spout is nice and slow.

Cons: Literally every functioning part fails about 75% of the time. Either the button you push to pump oil into the top chamber has popped out because the silicone button is not affixed to the plastic housing, or the excess oil will not drain back down into the lower chamber because the little silicone stopper inside has gotten stuck, or the ring that seals the connection between the plastic housing and glass bottle is letting oil leak all over your hands when you pour it.

This is just a poorly made product from a company that clearly does not test the items it sells. It was a waste of my money, and made me look kind of stupid when I attempted to solve a small problem with a gift that created even larger problems for the recipient.

I liked this product a lot and used it for 6 months. During that time it worked great. However, the rubber quality of the pump seems to be a bit cheap and it cracked. Because of that, its not usable anymore and has become a piece of trash.

This bottle is amazing. You know how when you're cooking stuff and you need to measure out some spices but you also need to measure out some olive oil but you have to measure out the spices first even though you need the oil sooner because you've only got one set of measuring spoons? And even then you wind up getting oil on the counter or stove because every oil dispenser bottle winds up leaving a drop that runs down the side and collects at the base no matter how carful you are?

This bottle fixes both of those problems. I don't know how this is the only company in the history of the world to discover a technology that draws that last drop BACK INSIDE of the bottle, but they are. It's done it every time. Also measuring out amounts in metric and imperial units is super easy, you just keep squeezing the dual side-pumps until you reach the line. It's solidly built, comes apart easily to clean, and looks nice on the counter in a modern style kitchen.
