First off, HomeGreenSolutions processed and shipped the item very fast and I received it 2 days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I took the toy out and recognized the familiar natural rubber feel and smell. I washed it as my daughter was playing in her crib and she immediately started responding to the squeaking sound as I was handling it. I brought it to her and introduced it by making a few squeaks and then gently put her hands on it so she could feel it. I then helped her to squeeze it. She was excited so I helped her to place the loop in her mouth. She started chewing it and flashed a huge grin. As I type this I can hear her in her crib playing with the chew toy and making it squeek. Finally, a chew toy that she likes! I couldn't be happier.
We have this and Sophie the giraffe, and our son loves both.
This one is made of thinner/softer rubber than Sophie, and is a simpler shape, so it's easier for him to get a nice big hunk in his mouth and bear down when his gums are hurting.
I also like the handle on the head of the yellow one. It is very easy for my 5.5 month old to grasp and play with. The small loop handle also makes it simple to attach the toy to the stroller or carrier we're using with a pacifier clip, so that it's not dropped/lost.
He honestly plays with both Sophie and this about the same amount, so I'm happy that we bought both.

No fear, they cannot do it. Not quite sharp enough. But mein gott, does she try.
Dearest little pink vulli, you treat my baby right. Just the right size for a 4-6 month old intently trying to cut the first couple of teeth, small enough to fit in a pocket, easy to find with a flashlight under a sofa, soft enough to comfort, comforting enough to be safe in bed.
That is why we now own two.
After reviewing the Chan Pie Gnon trio we decided that this was an excellent alternative - no long pieces to choke on and a variety of chewing options. As soon as they arrived in the mail they were washed and introduced to our daughter who immediately started chewing on the head (At 5 months old she is just starting to teethe). They were a hit and are now a favorite in her "chewie" collection. [I may even have to order the blue one, just to complete the trio!] The yellow in particular is helpful for those hard to reach back teeth - similar to Sophie's nice, long legs.
Although I know parents that own a Sophie and think she is great, I feel that these little guys - made by the same company and from the same material - are a much better option (even though I would love to have one in giraffe print!)
I will say this - the squeakers are far easier to squeak on these little guys so if they are going to a home with a "squeaker loving" dog (like ours) keep a close eye on your canine companion...they draw a lot of attention! :)
Latex allergy has been scientifically proven to be directly linked to amount of exposure. (Which is why so many doctors and nurses develop latex allergies over time.) With latex allergies skyrocketing, I don't think it is a good idea to purposely have a child chewing on a latex toy.
Take it from someone that developed a severe (as in life-threatening) allergy from wearing latex gloves in my former career (in a science lab), it is not an allergy you want your child to have.
This product should be labeled with a warning that it contains latex. Because, unfortunately, most of the general public are not yet aware that "natural rubber" is latex.

This product is just okay. I wish I had sprung for Sophie first as I ended up getting that one as well anyways. The giraffe gets much much more use than this little alien.Published 21 days ago by bookworm
My three-month-old son loves this, and honestly, I do too! The squeak engages him but doesn't drive me bonkers, the materials make me feel safe about what he's chewing ferociously... Read morePublished 2 months ago by Jami Arias
He's absolutely adorable, only issue is the rubber peels in some places. Would expect a little better quality for the price. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Dawn Maywald

I love the design and the fact that it is not too loud. My daughter did not show any signs of teething problems so I can't rate it on that aspect. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Gracie's Choice
