Very dope from front to back, rare to find a hip hop cd like that

There is literally no filler on this album. Sounds like the beats were all made on an sp1200 or similar - its all got that dirty lofi sound to it. Which turns out to be PERFECT for opio's raps. my only complaint is i feel the vocals were mixed a little low at times, i've listened on multiple different speakers including my studio monitors and i still get that feeling. but this album is boom bap to the core and i think if opio goes back to this sound he will never make a wack release

This album surprised me.

Sometimes MCs that are part of a collective group don't do too good solo but after buying this album and playing it a thousand times over I can this doesn't apply to him. Ohio just shows and proves on this album and the beats by a up and comer calling himself DJ Architect have a 70's soulful feel with a mix of cyber funk. I love this album.

Awsome, Awsome, Awsome!

I was totally blown away by this CD. It suprised me because I found it is so simple, nothing real complex, just dope lyrics as Opio always brings to the table and I loved the beats. It has an old school vibe on some tracks, then totally futuristic on others and all the time it sounds like he is freestyling over it.

I would say it's very experimental and totally different to what I've heard coming out of the Heiro camp, because it's production is not so polished.

This CD just goes with the flow. Well done Opio.

Slept on severely!

Opio work on this cd is a real treat in today's hip-hop environment. His lyrics are layered, mature and in a very real way he gets you to visualize the lines he offers. Dope beats as well, leaving you with both options on whether to chill or go hard. Bay legend, support Bay Area rap!

Album of the Year material

This album is incredible. It is different from Triangulation Station becoz it's a much more musically focused effort as opposed to something that offers a wide range of different music styles. The album is also very short but since it is so focused it definitely manages to deliver a worthwhile listening experience in its short time. I highly recommend this record if you enjoy the song snippets on this site, definitely one of 2008's best.

Album of the year 2008?

The production on this cd is insane, opio is of course sick of the rhyme. One of the best of 2008, and its 2009. Got to get this joint, one of the best if not the best cd of 2008. A solid listen through, no need to skip through any of the tracks. Has that classic 90's sound crossed with the modern times.
