About W. D. Wolfe
W. D. Wolfe lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, and in close proximity to their three children and four grandkids. He has been a church pastor for 40 years, and also coached middle school and high school basketball for the past 25 years. His blog "WordsfromWW.com" often focuses on middle schoolers, faith, and the simple moments of life. He is a graduate of Judson University (Elgin, Illinois) and Northern Theological Seminary (Lombard, Illinois). He grew up listening to Cawood Ledford doing the play-by-play of University of Kentucky basketball games on radio.
Seventh-grader Ethan Thomas didn’t have anyone he could call his friend until Randy “Red Hot” Bowman moved in across the street from him in his small West Virginia town of Fleming. Even though he’s two years older and the new standout on the high school basketball team, Randy becomes the friend Ethan has longed for. He believes in Ethan when no one else has before. In the third book of the RED HOT series the boys face a life-threatening event, new adversaries on the basketball court, and the ever-present threat of Ethan’s two school bullies trying to do him harm. Through the turmoil and troubles they discover that peace of mind and spirit are just a prayer away.
