Used to protect an inside window sill on a low window where my dogs scratch the wood. The plastic is easy to cut with strong scissors to fit into place. The adhesive side is very sticky so be sure to cut it and align it before removing the blue plastic that covers the adhesive. Once you stick it in place if you then try to move it again it might peel off the paint. Each piece has a bar code label on it that is initially hard to remove. I sprayed the labels with WD-40 and let them dry and they practically fell off. (This is a good way to remove stubborn labels and adhesive price tags from glass, ceramic, or hard plastic surfaces as the WD-40 dissolves the glue in the label. Don't use this on soft plastic or rubber as the WD-40 may damage such materials.)

We purchased this to cover the outside corner of a drywall and plaster wall near my son's desk. The back of his chair was constantly chipping the corner. After touching it up AGAIN i bought one of these. It came in a small box coiled up. We left it out on the counter for the afternoon and it relaxed enough to install. Easy! Took five min.

My advice is to be sure the wall is very clean and dry before installing it so it sticks well. Since we had just reskimmed and painted the wall it was about as clean as it could get. Stuck perfectly and no more dings!

Worked well for us to protect the corners of two new wood slogan doors from a curious and chewing cat. Was able to cut to size and even notch a "Vee" in one side to fold around a corner.
Pros -- easy to cut and install. Not highly visible when done.
Con -- adhesive is not string enough for use around a corner; I solved that with a few small nails, but this solution will not work for everyone in every situation.

it is more narow than i thought

i think the product will do what it says. it is only 2 inches wide so when you fold it over it is only 1 inch. my cat has already done some damage that is wider than this. So I used 3 pieces of this 8 inches long. then put then folded 1 of the pieces. Removed the adhesive cover and from all 3 and then stuck 1 2 inch wide piece on each side of the folded piece so that i would have about 3 inch on each side of the corner. I then i totally removed the adhesive on the extensions. I drill 3 small holes along the extensions and used antique furniture tacs to hold the covers on to my couch. So with this configuration you will have a 8 inch long corner and it extends around each side of the corner of the couch about three inches. I chose to remove the adhesive so it would leave any residue on my couch fabric.

It sticks pretty good and looks pretty good, except the sticky tape is not applied evenly to the plastic so there are little ripples in the tape which means it doesn't look smooth. Oh, and the price is outrageous. $41 for a 4 foot piece of plastic with double sided tape on one side. It shouldn't cost more than $10 at the very most. Unfortunately there are not a lot of clear corner guard options out there.
