I think this outta be standard on every O2 concentrators. I was trying to find a solution for my dry and cracked nose. I google and someone said about a humidfier for the concentrator. I'm still trying to figure out why my doctors or providers didn't suggest this. So I get it and again no mention of a water trap so I woke up with water going into my nose. Again, I googled it and one just one person mentioned a water trap. Found it on Amazon and Im really glad I bought it. My nose is finally healing.

I received the version of this that you drain by pulling either end off the tube. There were no instructions and the end caps were so tightly affixed that I was afraid I would break the thing trying to open it, so I went online to Salter Labs. They have a chat feature on their site and I explained my situation via chat. I was told that there are two models and mine is the one where you (forcefully!) pull one end off the tube to pour out the collected water. I gave it a good hard pull and bingo...off it came. Then the Salter rep asked me if I'd like a sample of the version with ends that screw off/on and after careful consideration I said "why sure, thanks!" About a week later I received not one but two of the screw-off/on version gratis. Probably cost Salter next to nothing but since I really like being treated that way, they've gained a lifetime customer.

Well made, solid product. Does what it is designed to do. Only thing is, there is no way to get the trapped water out of it except to blow it out with the concentrator. I found no way to pull, pry, or unscrew the ends. Appears to me to be a design flaw. If someone out there can clue me in, it would be greatly appreciated.only reason I gave it a three.

Pretty good, only thing is after taking cap off to dump water a few times it gets a little loose and may come off easily by accident without much pull. But it does indeed catch the condensation/water build up before getting to my grandfather canula!
