Remember when your Miter saw could do it all? Create cuts at any angle with the WEN 12-inch dual bevel sliding compound Miter saw. Our powerful 15-amp motor slices through even the hardest of woods, providing 3800 blade rotations per minute. This versatile saw bevels and miters up to 45 degrees in either direction with a front bevel control for fast and easy adjustment. Cut boards up to 13-3/8 inches wide and 3-1/2 inches thick or make compound cuts (45 degree bevel and 45 degree miter) in boards 9-1/2 inches wide and 2-1/8 inches thick. The saw features 9 Miter stops: Two at 15 degrees, two at 22.5 degrees, two at 30 degrees, two at 45 degrees and one at 0. However, if a more unique angle is preferred, The Miter Lock still allows the saw to lock at any angle between those stops. This spacious saw also features a 7-1/2-inch crown molding nested capacity and a 6-3/4-inch base board vertical capacity. This package also includes a 12-inch 60-tooth carbide-tipped blade (W/ 1-inch arbor), two retractable Table extensions with work stops, one clamp assembly, a class II laser guide, an LED work light, and a dust bag. The onboard laser illuminates the line of cut for maximum accuracy while the LED work light brightens your work area for easy sawing. The spacious table features two adjustable extensions to increase the maximum work capacity up to 38 inches. The miter and bevel degree markings are cheap paper stickers that were already peeling off. All my other saws have metal ruler markings. Anywhere they could replace metal with plastic they did. Saw head was very wobbly with a good amount of side to side play when fully extended.

I own other WEN tools (drill press, bandsaw, belt sander) and they work well. This one did not and was disappointing. Went with a Craftsman instead which has its own issues.

This saw took 15 inches off my operational foot print of my last Mitre saw. I rearranged my shop to make more room and this saw added 15 inches of open space over my last mitre saw. This saw works great just like my other WEN poer tools. when I received this saw, the fence was not perfectly square. Once I discovered the problem, one call to WEN and the problem was corrected. The indents and adjustments are solid with no variations and set up is a snap. I do like my Wen power tools and if there is a problem, Wen's customer service is very good.

This is my first miter saw and it has performed extremely well! The laser is accurate and has helped me make perfect cuts every time. I am a DIYer and so I don't need a five hundred dollar saw, I only use it for small jobs and quick builds. I was able to build a deck gate and it came GREAT! WEN makes a great quality product that is perfect for DIYers like me! If you have a smaller budget, but want a great quality miter saw, buy this product! Thank you Amazon for the quick delivery!

Over complicated design

The saw works well enough to get the job done however, it cut at an angle when set at zero. I adjusted it after I had cut my trim so it's not as straight as it should be. The angle lock down knob works roughly. The material hold down bracket feels cheap l and doesn't have enough height to work well on thin material. It fits loosely. The slide out bars on the sides don't slide in and out very smoothly.
