Tips:
- 2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended.
- 4 Red USB 3.0 Ports are only used for charging , can't for data transferring.
- If you need quick charge, pls plug your devices into 4 usb ports which show red indicator light.

Using this in tandem with a usb c 3.0 to usb a 3.0 adapter on a 2019 Macbook Pro.
Solid build. I've had several other usb 3.0 hubs that broke on me, but this one seems like it will hold up well to time.
Cables are appropriately long and feel relatively solid.
I do creative media (audio video editing/producing) on a regular basis, so
I ran speed tests using a samsung usb 3.0 flash drive, and Blackmagic Design Disk speed test software found that there IS a slight latency, but it's unavoidable and not really the hub's fault as it comes from adding an extra device between your computer and your device. But the latency was extremely negligible and considering that I had multiple other things plugged into it, such as my keyboard, mouse, and webcam, I'd say this hub performs very well.
I also ran Amperage analysis software from an android phone and results were pretty good. It isnt going to charge my phone faster than a dedicated "fast charging" 3amp brick, but it actually did end up performing better than the standard 1.2amp charger brick which was surprising.
Regarding the size of this thing, it is fairly bulky, so I wouldn't take it traveling, especially when power outlet access is limited, as it requires external power. But I think I will start taking it to recording sessions with a band I've been working with, where I need lots of usb ports and performance is important.
So this thing will be really really good for using at home where you need lots of ports and if you prioritize external power, but not really good for use on the go.
That's not to say this is bad for space management however. Previously, I was using two separate usb 3.0 hubs that had 4 ports on each, and after replacing both of them with this one, I actually have more room on my workstation.
Now for the "issues" I found with the hub. firstly, when nothing is plugged into the hub, and all the switches are turned off, there is a slight high pitched noise that comes from the ac transformer plug (this is common with transformers without some sort of coating on the transformer coil). Now this isn't a big issue because I had to put my ear like a foot and a half away from it to hear it (and I have very sensitive ears), and also, I will always have stuff plugged in to the hub and I'll constantly be using it, so the noise won't exist 99.9% of the time.
The second "issue" I have is that the switches on the hub aren't total disconnects. Theyre wired so that the power supply is cut for that specific usb port, and normally that will disconnect whatever device is plugged in. But in the case of devices that are already externally powered, the switch wont disconnect it (i noticed this when I tested my multitrack recording studio mixer, which is externally powered). But then again, this isn't necessarily a downside, as it doesn't diminish the functionality of my equipment, and this only applies to devices with external power which is not too common.
So overall, this is a very good usb hub. The 4 chargers are useful for when I want to charge my phone without connecting it to my laptop, and the 7 usb ports all work at good speeds, especially for a usb hub with this many ports. It seems pretty sturdy so I expect to use this for a long time. If it does fail on me then I'll be sure to update the review but I really don't expect that to happen, considering how solid it feels.
Would definitely recommend this to heavy users that need a lot of power and lots of usb ports. It's a good all in one solution.

These user measures were no guarantees for quality and durability, especially USB 3.0 hubs. I have purchased almost every reasonably price and highly recommended model through the years. All proved defective between 1.5 to 13 months. Devices failed to read; read/write speed became unbearably slow; and ports went ON and OFF sporadically. Reliability and long life span were inherent problems with this class of tech products.
.
Is the WENTER an exception? For now, the hub does not exhibit any of the above mentioned problems. So, we shall see for the next few months, when it is put to the test. When issues come, I will update this evaluation.
.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.
UPDATE 1: After two weeks, the unit turned OFF twice for no reason. This got worse after a month. It went OFF six times in two weeks.
.
UPDATE 2: The vendor quickly replaced the defective hub. It followed up with three emails to make sure that everything was working. This was unbelievable customer service. Most just took your money and run.
I used this with a mouse, keyboard, USB speaker phone, USB thumb drives, and all work fine.
One good point with this hub is that it has ports that only charge a device (like a phone or tablet). The benefit of this is the device does not connect to the computer and show up in your file explorer for data transfer, saving you the hassle of disconnecting. But if you want to exchange using data between the phone and the computer, then just connect it to a data port, as there are 7 of them.
Some USB hubs directly hardwire their data cable to the hub, which could be a problem. When the manufacturer does that, if the cable has a problem, it can't be replaced. This hub has a detachable cable, so it can be replaced if something happens to it. That cable itself, though, feels very durable.
Overall, this is a top notch hub.
