I have a DIY Custom built Gaming PC that I have in my front room. I have been using wireless devices for mouse and keyboard but the wireless interference between keyboard mouse bt headset and my cell was causing all types of latency and then if we wanted to play any games with controllers, we had wires going across room and that was driving my wife nuts. This came perfect from the get go and allowed me to route the cable through the wall behind my pc and tv through the floor, into basement and then pop up through wall again on other side of room in a 2 gang box in the wall and sits under a pillow on the couch. It allows me to "hide" it when It's not in use and plug in stuff to a 5 port usb 3.0 hub when I need it. So I essentially got the mouse keyboard and controllers all in one spot close to both of us whenever I want and simply just disconnect and place in little wicker basket under coffee table when done, I don't have to have cables stretching across the front room where people can trip on them in the dark. Very nice. Of note, the power cable that needs to be plugged in is best near where you plug it in to the pc or computer. It doesn't have to be but since mine was near a large UPS It was for the best for protection and to keep me up in the case of a power outage. Others have said that the larger "boxes" on the cable are a nuisance but I didn't have that issue as I was just fishing the ends through the floor and wall which only meant dealing with the slightly larger ends not much bigger than a regular usb cable. Your mileage may vary but for me this worked perfect. I have yet to permanently mount the cable in my basement since it just went up, but it wont be a problem and since its there in the basement it really isn't that much of an eyesore regularly. This has a problem btw with any extension between it and the pc, so I wouldn't recommend it. I initially thought I was going to have a problem with the cable reaching my pc and being able to be plugged into a power source but that ended up not being a problem. I had a short 2 foot cable that was a thick gauge usb 3.1 cable and it would not conclude with setting up after plugging it in. After removing the extension, it concluded and has been working without issue ever since. I did connect the extension to the opposite end to get it trough the wall and to my couch and that has worked flawlessly, though you may want to get a high quality one to make sure that you don't incur no voltage drop or current drop due to the gauge or distance from the cable. I have about 12-15 feet I think something like that between the couch and the pc so It was necessary to do this without having anything stringing across the room and floor.

At 32 feet, this was perfect for my new computer setup. And being a powered extension cable, transfer speeds and capacity aren't compromised, thanks to the in-line repeater/booster. And as I use this in conjunction with a USB hub, it can provide power and simultaneously allow data transmission for all my connected devices, including fast-charging my phone!
The materials and build quality feel premium and quite robust - the casements for the male plug, in-line repeater, and female connector are extremely solid. I suspect this cable to be yet another fake USB3.0 5Gbps from China, and quite frankly I'm getting sick of poor quality control (or fakes).
