This little gadget is fantastic for the everyday car owner trying to maintain his own vehicle to repair or not. It works fantastically with the
Torque app on my smart phone.I can leave it plugged in car or forget it.Thanks to it's compact size and don't worry about it draining your battery.Because of it's great price, you can buy one for each of your cars.Don't expect it to outperform the professional models, but for a quick diagnosis and code reading, it is enough.

Excellent diagnostic tool, when used with a smartphone or tablet, provides accurate and very comprehensive information about the state of your engine. It's ability to display real time information is fascinating too. If your check engine light is on, this product will tell you why. It can also clear the codes so that you can see if the problem was a temporary one, or something that requires attention. Highly recommended.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to go to my mechanic to see what every check engine light ment. But after receiving this scanner, I took it to my local trusted mechanic, and we plugged it in, and connected it to my phone. My car was throwing out a mass airflow code and we changed out the rpm sensor and checked again and the code was gone. Very quality product for the price. And I proved my mechanic was wrong. I am very happy with this purchase.

I use it in conjunction with the OBD Auto Doctor app on my iPad and
iPhone. Access is then permitted to a wealth of vehicle information. "Check engine" fault codes
can be read so you can identify what the faults are without having to pay a garage an
extortionate amount to do the same thing. The adapter sent the fault code straight to the
headunit. It doesn't effect the performance of my car and can't break anything.

piece of junk sending it back no instructions on how to make it work disk that came with it gives you app to download on phone does not even list Dodge ram and only 4 different Wanglers all auto. says it is suppost to work with almost all cars. Tried different apps that it says it is compatible with none would work and no instructions with them how to set up.

It was a little bit hard to locate the port on the car but once connected up it was easy to
connect to the phone and use.The device is powered by the car's OBDII port, so I would not
recommend leaving it plugged in permanently if your car is not used frequently, in case the car
battery drains.It’s really useful to have a self-diagnostic tool. They all connect machines up
these days to get a diagnostic themselves.

I am very happy with this tool, I purchased dashboard software and installed it on both my iPad and iphone6. It works great on both. I detected why my check engine light was on, fixed the problem, and reset the error. My car then passed our state emission test. I am impressed with the data transfer rate -easily enough to make all the virtual gauges on my iPad smoothly and responsively. Worthy of recommending. No problem so far.
