Fits well on top of alcohol stove, and certainly very light. Works best on small pots as the setup is a little tippy with a wide pan. You’ll need a windscreen to wrap around pot. The wire rope ring is used to pull it off the stove to extinguish flame without burning your fingers. You won’t be able to use the flame adjusting stove cover, but for boiling water, it works great.

This one works better and is more durable than others I have. If you are disappointed with it because you can’t use the simmer ring, then perhaps you should have thought about it a little more before buying it.
It fits my Trangia, my Red Camp, and my Esbit stoves perfectly. Some others are so tight, that it’s challenging to remove , but this one lifts right off.
Very robust, and sturdy enough to handle whatever pot you cook in.
I would recommend it.

The Trangia Spirit Burner is a compact, durable alcohol burning stove. While alcohol burning stoves are slower than other types (white gas, propane, cartridges, ... ), alcohol fuels are available everywhere. The last time I ran out, I stopped at a gas station and bought a small bottle of Heat. You can’t take volatile fuels on airplanes, so finding white gas, propane, cartridges, etc. on arrival may not be easy or cheap. That’s why my Trangia has become my favorite stove. Note also that I’m using it for light duty to make coffee or oatmeal for breakfast or side dishes at dinner (I bring a small BBQ for grilling).
You can’t put a pot or pan directly on a Trangia, so that’s were this accessory comes in. I picked the S/S version because it’s cheaper and hopefully stronger than the titanium version.
One caveat is that alcohol stove do not fare well in wind. So, you should probably get a windscreen as well.

Works Dandy and Handy. I like that they gave you a wire ring to keep them together, fits trangia burner just fine, could do others.

The rack is perfect for the stove, but to smoother the stove after use you need something to take the rack off the stove so you can smoother the flame with the lid. Pliers works for me and is apart of my backpacking kit anyway.

After buying and trying and building most every alcohol burner out there the little brass burner is pretty much the best. The cross stand pot holder is the most efficient and light weight pot holder you will find to go along with a brass burner. Perfect design for those looking to cut oz. from their cook kits. On my last trip out I cooked hash browns, eggs. and warmed up precooked bacon on this stand and my brass alcohol stove. It will accommodate the smallest pot you have as well as the largest you have. Thanks Winomo.

This combined with a Trangia stove makes my lightest stove setup by far. That said the design does not allow for the simmer ring portion of the stove so to extinguish the stove you have to flip this very hot piece of metal off the stove without spilling it in order to snuff the flame. Knowing this I cut the weight and left the ring at home. However I could envision spilling a flaming pot of alcohol in your camp. With this setup I boiled a litre of water in 16 minutes. I will use this,... cautiously.

In operation, it sits directly on the camp stove, preventing the snuffing of the stove to save fuel. Sitting directly in the flame, it is too hot to remove with your bare hands. You'll either need a tool to remove it or learn precisely how much fuel you'll need for a given dish.
The cross-style allows smaller containers to sit over the stove, in case you wish to boil a cup of water or cook a can of soup directly in the can. It fits inside the stove support that came with my stove, allowing the stability of the base with the convenience of a smaller pot.

Stabil

Empfehlenswert

Sehr sinnvolles Zubehör
Reviewed in Germany on August 6, 2021
