After taking our first long trip with the Model 3, we noticed while driving on the Interstate in direct sunlight, the temperature differences from chest high to head top high in the cabin. Windows closed, A/C on. The wife even asked if I had the A/C on? After seeing this product I was very skeptical as to how much good it would actually do because of the open mesh design. We have had it now for almost a month and driven in 90' plus sunny weather and "WOW" what a difference! Only purchased the forward roof pannel shade. It's not that often we have passengers in the back. Had absolutely no problem installing. We're more than happy with the results. Very surprised that I haven't seen more reviews on Model 3 Teslas with complaints for the same condition. In my opinion, well worth the purchase price.

It's so hot in CA, so I have to look for a sunshade to block the transmission. Since the original parts from Tesla is so expensive, I decide to try a similar product that has the same feature. Its price is just half of Tesla's, but I believe it works the same. It's well made, came in a thin plastic bag, folds neatly. Very easy to put it in with provided clips, and it comes with the install instruction, so only took me like 5 minutes to install. It is also easily removable. Most importantly, its like a glove fits well on my Tesla Model 3!!! I love it and totally worth it!!!!

I only got the one for the front. It feels sturdy and nicely made and it gets the job done. It was very easy to install. Took me about a minute.

When it’s sunny and very hot, my head could really feel the heat from the glass roof. It’s even hot to the touch. We just had a couple of sunny days in the mid 90s and the difference it makes is obvious. It significantly lower the temperature near the roof.

I haven’t seen the real one from Tesla but this gets the job done for half the price.

I had a back shade from Tesla. The car was getting hot, still. This front/roof shade works and the interior is MUCH cooler in the car now when left out in the sun. A great value for the price and it works. It fits perfectly. It was so precise, I almost did not use the provided clips. It stayed in place without them. Good engineering. I hope this lasts but at this price, I would buy another in a few years if needed.

When this item arrived i was surprised at how big the package was. I had another brand before and it didnt fit well. It had a gap in the back. I opened this one up and the metal spring rim was nice and thick and solid. I pushed it into place and perfect fit with no GAP. The mesh does not sag either. They also include 8 clips to hold it up instead of the normal 6.

Let’s too much sun through

The mesh still lets too much sunlight through.
Not only that but the mesh is black so the sunlight it does block is turned into heat so it doesn’t do much to keep the car cooler IMHO.
I intend to slide a layer of aluminum foil between mesh and glass but wish I didn’t have to. (Tesla M3)
