WMF Perfect Plus Pressure Cookers
The quickest way to cook healthy.
WMF pressure cookers are perfect for those who have little time to cook yet still want healthy, flavorful food. Foods that are pressure cooked offer more nutritional value than those cooked for longer periods using traditional cookware. Foods cooked in a pressure cooker are ready faster, using less liquid. The fact that foods are done in a shorter cooking time means they are less likely to lose their color and flavor, as well as vitamins and nutrients that are evaporated or diluted when cooking for longer periods of time.
- Pressure cookers reduce cooking time by as much as 70% and cut energy consumption by up to half.

I use 2 WMF Pressure cookers most days, especially during winter months. My first pot about 4 1/2 qts was purchased in Europe - it has lasted many years and is still in great condition. I prefer using the 4 1/2 qt in preparing dishes for 2-4 people and for grain side dishes. My most recent purchase from Amazon, the 6 1/2 quart which comes with a handy steaming basket, has a taller profile which works well for steaming artichokes and for composing stews and soups for a larger family. As a mostly vegetarian cook, I can't comment on cooking meat with it, but one day I will attempt steaming fish with it.
Is this German made pressure cooker worth the money? If you live at high altitude, every penny and more. Even if you live at sea level, it cuts cooking times by two-thirds, but at higher elevations it overcomes all handicaps in cooking grains and pulses, while vegetables are steamed tender-crisp in seconds. The easy to read pressure cooker gauge facilitates timing - an important factor for cooking successfully at high pressure. My WMF Perfect high pressure cooker purchase.
My wife and I are making dishes that we simply never attempted because being busy with 4 kids we could not wait to cook goulash or milk rice or a roast for hours, except on special occasions.
I did extensive "research" before buying this cooker pressure -- it was a present for my wife and I wanted to make sure it will work well,
What I love:
(1) Ease of SAFE use -- the valve and the handle make handling the pressure really easy. It seems very well engineered and simple.
(2) Ease to clean -- the parts separate easily and are easily washed. No nooks and crannies where food left overs fester.
(3) Beauty -- it is beautiful piece of kitchen equipment. I smile every time I take it out
(4) Quality and longevity -- it has been only a year, and we have never had any issues. There is nothing flimsical about the design or material. I am convinced this pot will serve us years to come
OK, I've had it a year now and it is still working great. I don't know how I ever survived this long without this pressure cooker. I love it!
Lol and behold,i used 15 minutes (it could have been less,i guess my being a newbie added a few more minutes). And the stew tasted better (my picky 7 yr daughter gobbled it up in no time). The cooker quality is great and the it delivers what it promises. And another plus,it takes very little heat to maintain pressure (1 on a 10 settings stove. The energy and time savings is worth it.If you need a pressure cooker, this is it.
* Easy-to-read pressure gauge
* Silent as can be -- no hissing or sputtering
* Attractive stainless steel with a heat-conducting base
I love this cooker so much, I've purchased it in three different sizes. I'd marry it if I could!
I've just bought a second one for my younger son's kitchen. I almost bought the one with the pressure pan accessory and the glass lid, but my budget was going overboard. If you can afford it, I would recommend it. My daughter-in-law loves the cooker, and my grand-daughter is not upset by sudden hisses. This pressure cooker is a beautiful German design.
