Customers have mixed opinions about the design of the food strainer. Some mention it looks good, while others say it's poorly designed and of poor quality.
Excellent straining, no particles passed through when straining rendered beef fat. One thing is, figuring out how to attach the bag to the handle was challenging. The zipper (I eventually figured out) works just like one on a jacket. The ends come completely apart to allow the metal ring to be enclosed.
I never thought to consider the way the zipper worked until I read another review, and SMH, it was so simple. The seller would do well to put actual instructions to describe how the zipper separates at the end like one on a jacket so it can run around the handle. Works great for straining stocks and durable enough to use metal ladles for pushing through, better than a chinoise.
I made strawberry lemonade and all the little black spots are seeds from the strawberries. Using this mesh bag thing helped to eliminate all the seeds minus the ones that I spilt and they fell in. Overall I’ve very excited for it. It takes a while to work throw the bag. Clean up is pretty easy. I did have seeds left in the seems of my bag. I’m going to try to wash it in the washing machine since hand washing did not get them out.

I use this to drain the water out of tomatoes that were pressed (like a food mill). I end up with more concentrated solids that I use for sauces. It saves having to cook the sauce for hours in order to reduce it.
The drained off liquid is mostly just water and doesn't have much tomato to it since the mesh is so fine. I may use some of the liquid to pre-blend and thin tomato paste, if needed, before adding to the the mix. This let's the paste mix in better without settling to the bottom and potentially scorching.
This mesh filter is very fine and just what I need. The material is a fine cotton; I was wondering if the tomatoes would stain it, but it rinses out remarkably well. The hoop is a sturdy stainless steel. This came with 3 filters, so I will have replacements for whenever one wears out. I've already used it a half dozen times and can barely tell it's been used, so I think this will last a while.
Works great for straining my homemade stock. Does not clog easily and the wire frame makes it easy to use. The zippered mesh bags are great and makes washing easy. Great product.
I love the concept of this. The fact that you can take it apart & wash it, is what made me order this twice. The large size was way bigger than I expected but thought it'll be perfect to use when making plant based milks. That wasnt the case tho. The stitching isn't too strong so when I squeezed the excess water, it actually wasnt strong enough to hold out & broke. Good thing it brings 2 bags tho so now I know & won't use it the same way. This is perfect for straining teas & coffee or simple things you won't have to squeeze too much to get the liquid out.
I like the size of the bag and the hoop with handle they go on. It was a bit tricky figuring out how to get the zipper to separate so I could put the bag on the hoop, but once done it's easy. After putting a quart of yogurt in the bag, the it's long enough to be able to flip the handle over to trap the contents. To catch the whey, I put a small bowl in the bottom of my sink and slide the handle under my blender base. The mesh is fine enough I don't have to worry about anything but whey going through unless I press the ball to help extract it, and the little bit of coloration isn't enough loss to worry about. It not being natural fiber make it easy to clean and I feel less concerned about how long to boil it to sterilize it before use when I make lebneh.
These are sturdy. The zipper is a good one. The small one is the perfect size for straining my homemade yogurt in the fridge. It holds about 4 cups. I put it over a 2-qt canning jar, fill the bag, then pull it down slightly and screw on the lid. The metal handle makes it very convenient to do all this by myself. I end up with about 2 cups of Geek yogurt, or 1 1/2 c. of very dense yogurt that could be used as sour cream.

This is really an innovation(well to me it is)having a flexible, washable, re-usable, removable strainer for our raw milk is just what the doctor ordered, we always manage to get a little bit of grass or some type of debris in our milk, mainly from the udder of our cows, so this is just the best strainer ever..
Sieve works well and with a dish soap that is used to clean ducks, cleans easily. Wish I bought the one with legs. Would be easier to use with two free hands.
