Ok Amazon. I often do positive reviews but this might be one of my most important purchases. My husband has a huge chainsaw but I needed something for myself that is lightweight - no way I am using the Farm Boss. We have an old-growth Appalachian forest and it is starting to die off in many areas. Lucky us. I am a small but mighty lady so the weight is important but endurance is even more important because I needed something that would last longer than a wireless but less cumbersome than a gas powered. I have two one-hundred foot extension cords and they are just about long enough for most projects. I have had to cut shrubs, dead pines, yearling "volunteers," saplings, heavy hardwoods, sap galore, and even chop fallen 80 ft pines. No joke, this little guys is amazing and worth every penny. Oh yeah, I even left it out in a storm and still works. Still cuts wood like a champ! My only problem was that it leaked oil, but honestly for this price it didn't matter. Still 5 stars in my book and there is likely a gasket i could buy for it. I have had it jam a few times in an 8 inch tree trunks which is a little over the recommended circumference. It came out fine with hubby's help. More has been done on our property with this electric chainsaw than my husband's fancy Farm Boss chainsaw. I would purchase again in a heartbeat. I will probably wear it down at some point but it just keeps going. I bought it a month ago and it keeps going. If it dies tomorrow it will have been worth it.

Update : I see complaints of leaking from others. My first saw leaked and i thought it was just a fluke, but finding the same thing happening with my second I think this is an issue they should address. I don't use it often, and refill when needed, but can be messy storing if it has not emptied. All in all for my purposes this is a good tool for 50$. I am not comfortable with a gas device that after sitting would most likely have starting issues , not to mention can be messy too . I am still glad I have purchased this saw.

This is a horrible product. I purchased in January 2018 and used it 3 or 4 times to cut down some light brush around house. After each use I noticed when I went back to get it that it was leaking oil. Small amount at first but after about the 3 rd time quite a bit of oil all over my shed floor. What a mess.
I called Worx. They asked me if I store it in a vertical position, assuming that would cause leak. I told them no I store it in a perfectly horizontal position. Now their reply is that after each use I should drain the oil to prevent leaks. I asked, why should I be at such an inconvenience and oil purchase expense after using it for minutes each time?
She said it tells you that in owner manual. I re read the manual and it makes no mention of oil leaks and how to prevent them, nor does their advertising on the product tell you that chain saw leaks!!!

I've had it a few weeks and can't complain one bit. I wanted to cut down a bunch of leaning and dead trees from around my property, and this little guy did the trick. Is it a big, monster gas powered? No, of course not, it's a $50 electric chainsaw, but if you only need it to clean up a bit, and use it within it's means, it's a little work horse. Very happy to have it.

Once you tighten the chain correctly, it DON'T come off! Also, ALL chainsaws are designed to leak oil on the chain! You should store chainsaw hanging from the HOLE in blade. This will prevent the oil from draining out!

This is a great saw for small jobs around the house. For people who don't know about chain saws they all leak the oil you put into them to lubricate the chain (bar and chain oil) , if you empty it when done it will have to stop leaking. This saw should work for along time, but if it only worked for one job you are still ahead money wise if you had to rent one from somewhere.

The registration and warranty process is not straight forward, you will need two separate email addresses to do it.
A) First go to the Worx.com website and create an account with an email address just like any other site . Once you login to the your account you will be able to access the register product tab.
B) Select the register product tab and fill it out, you will also need a copy of your Amazon invoice which you will have to figure a way to download a image of it to your computer so you can upload it for the registration process.
Then after filling everything out on the bottom of the registration page you will need another email that is different from the first one you used to create the worx account which gave you access to to the registration and warranty page. Thats how it is done. Why the warranty website needs a separate email I have no idea, I asked them and they said they would check with the web developers.

Muy buena, corté un par de troncos muertos de unas 12 pulgadas y tardé 10 minutos en terminar. Igual no es magia, se requiere maña y algo de fuerza porque si no la sostienes bien te jala y se te puede ir de las manos.
Algo malo que noté es que días después que quise usarla de nuevo tardaba más en cortar y vi que la cadena estaba muy chata, con poco filo.
