Product description

If you’re already part of the Worx PowerShare family and have a battery or two in your tool collection than this is the Hydroshot for you. This model is less expensive because it doesn’t come with a battery and a charger. There’s no need to spend extra money on batteries. What you do get when you buy this Hydroshot is a power washer that you can take anywhere. And you’ll constantly be coming up with new ways to clean with it. Just to name a few: Cars, boats, trucks, RVs, bikes, decks, patios, driveways, garages, windows, window screens, patio furniture, siding, garage doors, anything outside your home - and even a few things inside - are fair game for the Hydroshot. Its 2-speed control and 5-in-1 Pressure Nozzle give you multiple ways to control the intensity of the stream. The extension lance lets you get into hard to clean places, and it improves your accuracy. Then pop on the included Short Lance when you’re ready to water the flowers. The Hydroshot weighs less than 3 lbs, so anyone can control it with just one hand. That’s a far cry from traditional pressure washers that have a tank and a bulky hose. So get a Hydroshot, it’s fun, easy to use, and you’ll start enjoying a cleaner life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid and highly functional for around the home, rv, boat.
By ZeeCee on March 19, 2020
Overall great product. I underestimated the power, ease, and versatility of this tool. Do NOT go in expecting car-wash sprayer, but quite surprising for it's size. This thing will clean, sweep, blast plenty of stuff but will take patience and finesse.

Pros:

-Goes anywhere. (Included hose to draw from any source is a great innovation)
-Quick attach connector to hose easy to use
-Just powerful enough to clean the concrete
-Light, compact, quiet (The lady loves it)
-Discover way more uses besides whatever you initially want it for!

Cons:

-Really drinks the batteries. (Have several on hand or be disappointed)
-Wand to tool attachment point easy and fast, but not solid when in use, wobbles. Concern for wear over time.
-Minor handle strain after holding for extended period.
-Quick attach fitting works great for attaching to tool, but then must take off to use anything else.
-Low-power garden sprayer attachment to work around the above is "ok" at best.

Overall, great buy. The lady loves going into the OCD zone and power washing stuff. Definitely fits well into the Worx tool lineup, and seamlessly integrates into the Power Share battery system for 20v and 40v Worx tools. Have extra, this power washer will eat 'em.

1.0 out of 5 stars Updated Review: Don't buy from Worx, they don't stand behind their products!
By LD on July 2, 2019
This is an updated review after about 5 months of use. My original review is below and was four stars, you can read it if you want. I downgraded this review to 1 star for two reasons: First, the last time I used this tool the piece that connects the hose to the gun body broke (see the photos I uploaded). I want to be clear that this happened during NORMAL USE! I didn't slam it against anything, yank the hose, nothing. I was climbing a ladder with the gun in my hand and this piece broke off, simple as that. Then when I contacted Worx to get a replacement piece (the piece itself can be removed and replaced), they refused to do so and wanted me to pay for it! I have written a lot of reviews on Amazon and rarely do I say this, if ever: don't buy this junk. Any company who sells TOOLS (of all things) with plastic pieces that break and then refuses to provide a cheap little replacement part after 5 months of ownership is NOT a company you want to buy from, especially when it comes to tools. Stay away.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:Let me start by saying that there is nothing wrong with the one I got, it seems to function just fine. However, this thing is just not as useful as you might expect. You might be thinking that you are going to use it to clean your driveway, and walkways, and patio, and siding, and roof, etc etc. Trust me, you WON'T. It just isn't powerful enough. Only the smallest angle setting is powerful enough to do any real cleaning and the stream is so small that it would take you forever to clean something like a driveway. You really need a gas powered pressure washer to do something like that. The numbers speak for themselves, this unit can only produce about 300 psi (and that is when it is connected to your hose/city water), gas powered machines can do well over 2000 psi.

What this is useful for is spraying things off after cleaning, so for example a car or boat. You would be able to use the wider spray angles for those purposes. I rented a skid steer loader a couple of weeks ago and used this to spray the dirt off of it. It worked OK for that purpose. I have also used it to clean the siding of my house, but only AFTER I sprayed the siding with bleach. Without the bleach this gun alone would not be able to clean it. The problem here is that my garden hose with a regular hose gun would also be able to accomplish these tasks. And in fact there is a higher VOLUME of water spray from a garden hose alone.

I suspect that its most effective use will be for those of you who live on a lake and don't have a hose that reaches down to the dock, or you want something out on a boat with you. In those circumstances you can use the supplied tubing and this will pull water directly out of the lake/ocean like a portable hose. Just realize that the pressure you get won't be any more than a garden hose and the stream of water will also be smaller. If you fall into this category I recommend you get the 40V version of this (with two batteries).

Battery life is OK, I think you get something like 30 minutes of continuous spray on a battery (when connecting it to a hose). You probably won't want to use it much longer at a stretch anyway.

I only docked one star because the one I got works fine and it does have its uses, like I mentioned. Just realize that those uses are very limited. It is a very niche product imo. It is not going to be able to clean like a real pressure washer and there are a lot of tasks that you just don't need this, a regular garden hose gun will work just fine. If you are a guy like me who doesn't live on water I cannot recommend that you spend money on this. It just isn't necessary.
