Big cleaning jobs like windows or your muddy truck just got fun. The Worx Hydroshot Portable Power Cleaner is the perfect tool for the job, with enough pressure to clean off tough grime and dirt, but not so much pressure that you’ll damage the paint like traditional pressure washers can. It’s easy to use, effective, and way better than a garden hose and nozzle—5 times better, as a matter of fact. The 2-speed control lets you turn it up for dirtier jobs, or turn it down to conserve water and battery. And the 5-in-1 pressure nozzle lets you fine-tune the stream even further with 5 different intensity settings: 0, 15, 25, 40 and one for watering. This Hydroshot comes with a long Cleaning Lance for greater accuracy and a Short Watering Lance for taking care of the plants. A 20-ft Draw Hose pulls water from any fresh water source, so it’s great to use up at the cabin or marina—or just fill up a bucket and take it with you. And we threw in a Mesh Carry Bag to keep all those accessories together. The Hydroshot is lightweight, despite all that power, coming in at only 3.7 lbs with the battery attached, so anyone can use it. Leave the hose hung up in the garage. You’ll have more fun and get more done with the Hydroshot.

The replacement units came in unprinted boxes, so I'm thinking they were refurbished. I wouldn't mind that IF THEY WORKED.
My recommendation is that if you buy this and need it replaced, get a refund and buy a new one as obviously their quality control is nonexistent. I welcome anyone from WORX to email or call me for a discussion and I will amend this review.
It was a sunday afternoon. The kids were down for a nap, as was the wife. There was nothing on except this, and the instant pot (which is another story, but dang, that thing is good too). So I watched it.
I have a fairly expensive traditional gas power washer that rarely if ever gets used. Its big, bulky, has a broken seal (yeah i realize thats not a big deal), and the power still isnt what I want). Anyway, the same reasons stated by the host in the hydroshot infomercial. When , If EVER are the reasons you dont use something accurate to the TV show. Ill clue you in... its never... I mean do you really buy 45$ worth of paper towels in a month? HELLO Sh*mwow.
So, I went on amazon, took a risk and bought this thing.
First off, you have to know what you are getting. Do not expect to peel the skin off of a rhinoceros hide with the hyrdoshot. Simply not happening. Could you split open a finger if you put it on 0 degree spray? sure as heck you can. This thing is not intended to peel paint (by design apparently) or some of the other uses for a big bulky gas powered power washer. What is is intended for, by and large it does it well.
I sprayed a couple wasps nests off the house, washed a couple deck pillows that had disgusting bird sh*t on them. I also got some mold off of the kids inflatable bouncy house pool thing (thats another one, go buy it... amazing. Rainforest Rapids by blast zone) , ya know, cuz mold can sorta kill people if left untreated.
My windows mostly are too tall to clean with this, but ill try it, and im sure it will do ok. I will powerwash the patio in the back between pavers, and it will be great there. Ill clean the lawn mower (whoa, i just thought about that one. EPIC smile just washed over my face). Bird junk off the swingset? Check. Garage floors? Check.
It really is JUST powerful enough for everyday jobs. Yes, I would love it if they could cram 100 more psi in there, but its acceptable and does well at what you need it to do. Again, Know what you are buying.
Anyone who owns this thing will tell you, the first time you pick it up you are absolutely surprised by the heft. Its heavy (in a good way). You can tell its well made. It without a doubt feels like a quality tool in your hand, which again goes against what you traditionally get when watching an infomercial.
One of my complaints is that I cant get the 1 liter bottle adapter for 6+ weeks (according to worx). I would say my overall biggest complaint is that I dont expect 1 battery to be enough.. Of course I know you can buy more and most jobs wont require more than 1 charge, so thats ok, but id love the option to use one of the bigger batteries worx sells on this tool. From what I understand I cant use the larger sized batteries.
Thanks for reading this far folks. I am a pretty picky reviewer who rarely does them. Final thought, know what you are buying. If you go in knowing what ive shared above there is no reason you cant be happy as well.
As I read other reviews, I immediately know who works with pressure washers and reads all of the info, and who doesn't have a clue.
This product does exactly what it's advertised to do. As stated, this is not a Pressure Washer. You cannot use this with a pressure washer... Because that kind of real pressure would blow this thing apart.
I'm not sure why one person couldn't wash their car with it but I had no problems washing my truck after mudding.
Like any self car wash, you still have to actually use a brush and scrub your car.
It's like taking a shower... Getting in the shower doesn't get you clean... It rinses you. You have to scrub with soap in a shower, so you scrub with car wash for your car.
If you use a pressure washer on your car, you'll strip the paint. I've used pressure washers to strip paint and surface aging on wood fences prior to sealing them.
Pressure washers are high pressure for a few very specific uses.
This is NOT high pressure, but it is definitely Higher pressure than your garden hose... It's certainly higher than the water pressure from my well.
For people who camp, do survival stuff, go mudding, are at the beach, etc, this is a great little tool because it can draw from any water source... From a bucket of water to a creek.
That's extremely handy to have available.
Since most of us with a military background and survival training plan for things like charging with solar power, we can use this anywhere.
When I lack sunshine, I have a great tool that converts wood-fired heat into battery-stored charging power.
So for many of us, this also provides the means to a shower no matter where we go.
I think the key to rating products is reading what it does and what it's limitations are, and why they are what they are.
The tool does exactly what it says it'll do and when you own Worx products, you buy them for what they CAN DO, not what you wish they could do. I can't down rate this because there's not enough pressure to satisfy me... It provides the 80-320psi as advertised and works exactly as advertised.
So far, over the years, Worx has always quickly and happily dealt with the couple of issues that I've had.
I own at least 10 Worx products and use them both around the house and many on the job.
Now, if you can't wash your car with this, then you have serious issues, because that means you can't wash your car with just your garden hose either. That's a car covered with that or something that requires tar and bug remover.
I can tell you that even after going to a self car wash and an automatic car wash, there have been times that I still had to use such products and hands wash my vehicles again. So no car wash is going to get every car clean, if cars require scrubbing, additional products and generally more than water hitting the car.
If water hitting the car was enough, then every rain shower would be a great cat washer... But it's not.
Awesome tool with many uses that I can't do with my big pressure washer.
Read and follow the directions on using and cleaning this tool, and you'll be fine. If you have concerns, call Worx. If you don't have a clue, call Worx and check out their website for videos on the product... Those are very helpful and their demonstration videos are really good eyeballing what this and any of their tools can actually do, if you can truly grasp their capabilities and limitations from the written word.

The downside to this is that I waited 4 weeks and 1 day to get out and use it, and now I can't return it. So I"m out $200 unless I can flip it on Craigslist.
Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid!!! Either get a screw on hose attachment or a real pressure washer. And if you read this and buy it anyway, just remember, I warned you.
