In my humble opinion, I think this way of telling a story is creative because the author just gives you enough time to barely get attached to the characters before you move on to the next story. Also, I must confess that I found myself wondering what I would be doing the moment our electricity, technology and the whole world as we know it was gone. I assure you that if you give this book a chance, you will be doing so too.
Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock
This book differs from most that I have read in that these people were not prepared for an event similar to this one. A most interesting read to see what these people were thinking after the event. And, unfortunately not all survived as one would surmise.
In particular, the comments made by the President at the very end of the short book were mind boggling.
Most highly recommended.
Even someone apocalyptically oriented from birth, like me, can find themselves shaken up by descriptions of The End. So I found myself shaken and stirred throughout E.A. Lake's WWIV--DARKNESS DESCENDING. Mr.Lake brings his best game to these stories of people who [as the last generation of dinosaurs once did] get to witness "the end of civilization as we know it."
I reviewed a digital ARC generously provided by the author for review, via Reading Addiction Book Tours, without remuneration.
