I'm a long time user of Wacom tablets. They're great and I love them. I had to ding this one star for two reasons: 1) I wasn't warned that this was apparently made for the Chinese market. One of the inserts was completely in Chinese. Thankfully another insert was in several languages. 2) If you're on a Mac, there was no warning that the included CD for installing the tablet requires Mac OS X 10.8 or newer. I specifically looked for a Bamboo because I needed to replace my old Wacom Graphire3 on a Mac that runs 10.6.8. Per Wacom's site, this tablet is supposed to work on older operating systems, but the included CD was worthless to me. I was able to download the correct driver from Wacom's website, but this was irritating.
I have one complaint directed at Wacom particularly. Like I said, I've been using Wacom tablets for many years -- my first one was an Art Pad II. Both it and my old Graphire3 included stands for the stylus. Wacom stopped doing that, I'm guessing with the Bamboo line. These days there's a loop on the tablet that you can slip your stylus in to, but that's really not helpful. It would be fine at the end of the work day, but I'd rather have a secure place to keep the stylus during the day, when I'm typing on the keyboard and not using the stylus. Both this Bamboo and the Intuous I have on another computer, just offer the loop. It's a cheap solution.
