If there is any negative it is I expected to be drawing immediately like I would with a pen or pencil. I quickly found out there is some adaption that has to be made before you are drawing with it as you expect. I hit that within a half hour of playing around with it. This is not a flaw, just what I expected, so if you order it, expect to have to take a half hour or so to learn to use it. To my embarrassment, my 14 year old granddaughter took about a minute to adapt to it.
I have had this device a year now and have had no complaints. I wore out the cord, only because I am left handed and had to stretch the cord around. I have recently bought a cord that is just a few inches larger and it solved the problem.
The staff is quick to answer my questions, even after the warranty is expired. I have already sold art work that I have created with this tablet. They say you don't need a cover for the surface, however I bought one from another vender and it helps. My first nib for out in two weeks. I am still using the second one. It also helps prevent scratching.
Also, as mentioned I am left handed, it is nice to be able to draw in the normal fashion (left to right) without fear of dragging my hand through wet ink or smudging graphite. It is cleaner and faster to set up and break down also. With grandchildren around it is nice not to have to worry about spilling inks or paints.
I have friends that have purchased other models from Wacom and all are satisfied with their purchases. I love my Bamboo Create and will use it until I move to an upgrade, which I plan on staying with Wacom.
I bought this tablet refurbished and on sale, so it was almost half the price of buying the new one off of the Bamboo website.
It arrived on time and in the original packaging, and I was excited to try it out.
I had some problems with the set up conflicting with my old tablet and drawing program, but I sorted it out in a few days time, just re-installing and uninstalling and resetting up..
Even refurbished, I have never had any problems with either of my tablets. They both came with the Drivers and photoshop disks, plus the pen and pen Nibs. The only thing that I need now that would be nice for this here Bamboo Create Tablet would be a case for it. I'd like to keep it protected since it gets dusty or smudged from time to time.
If you take care of it, it should last a few good years, even after being refurbished. Just like brand new.
at one point the usb fitting came out with the cord. we called wacom and they completely replaced the whole deal, plus mailed it back expedited as my daughter completely at a loss without it! . wacom has terrific technical customer service.
