When she first laid eyes on Chase and he on her there was something that attracted each to the other.. Was Cupid's Cafe going to work it's miracle on another couple? read it and find out...
Despite a few bumps and realistic awkwardness, two hearts meet and make eachother's lives better.
On the safe and sweet meter, this novella rates a perfect 10.
I look forward to more little literature treats in the future.
There are some typos, and I was dying to know how relationships and events had changed during the intrium, during times the narration skipped, but events and ideas like the communication in the Muir Woods are wonderful little moments I'm happy to carry in my mind.
I received this book for free and I am leaving my honest review.
The only thing that I missed in the book was I felt the absence of her dad. He is mentioned and seems like he would be e n written I n the story somewhere. But other than that...great story line, laughed at parts, felt sad in others. I could actually see the areas they were in..the studio apt.
To recap, Cupid's Cafe is the best-kept secret in Berkeley California, where Katy Cupid had been helping people for years in her 50's style cafe via her gift, and she's not above using some schemes. When Sophie's partner did a runaway groom, stranding her in Berkeley, the jilted bride ended up in Cupid Cafe where Katy fed her waffles and introduced her to the handsome Chase who happens to have a room for rent. Chase knew Sophie is exactly the woman he wanted in his life, but Sophie's a bit gun-shy after the recent incident. Can Chase romance Sophie properly without driving her away?
The struggle wasn't too heavy duty, and Chase basically just have to prove to Sophie that she was not worthless. It's a quick and fun read.
