Wagner's latest innovation in powered painting, the TurboRoll is great for medium-sized painting projects that require extra reach. This powered roller holds paint in a large-capacity tube: just push the power button for smooth and continuous paint flow. When circumstances require it, you can also paint the old-fashioned way with the TurboRoll's manual override feature. One set of batteries (included) will let you paint up to 15 gallons.
Quick-Touch Button for Fast Paint Delivery
The Wagner TurboRoll features a quick-touch motor control that delivers paint to the roller with the push of a button. The quick-touch button also speeds up the process of filling and emptying the large-capacity tube. Simply connect the TurboRoll Paint Roller's fill tube to the fill valve located on the included can lid and press the quick-touch button to fill the tube with paint--the motor does all the work. Emptying excess paint from the tube is just as easy--simply reverse the process to return paint back to the can with no spills or messes.
High-Capacity Tube, Extension Handle, and Ergonomic Design Make Painting Easy
The TurboRoll's high-capacity tube and 22-ounce applicator let you paint up to 70 square feet of wall space on one fill, saving you from back-bending trips to the paint can. And with its battery power and ergonomic design, the Wagner TurboRoll Paint Roller allows you to paint walls and ceilings more efficiently and with less effort than standard paint rollers.
The handle will extend to eight feet for painting high ceilings or hard-to-reach places, and the included spatter guard will reduce messy accidents. Additionally, the quick-touch control is strategically located for delivering paint when needed, and the entire unit is lightweight and comfortable to hold.
The TurboRoll Paint Roller is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

After reading the reviews, I made sure all of the O rings were well lubricated during assembly. The unit went together easily. Since I was starting with the ceiling, I decided to use the splatter guard, even though others thought it was about useless.
The first time I tried to fill the tube with paint, I didn't push the unit down on the filler tube quite hard enough, once I figured out in needs to go on all the way it loaded with paint quickly and easily.
The first thing I noticed, (like others), was that it takes about 1/2 a tube of paint just to get paint to saturate the roller. That is really no different than with a conventional roller. Once I get the roller loaded, it took about 2 seconds on the trigger to reload the roller........all with no muss or fuss.
The splatter guard worked just fine, I am about 6-2, and I could paint an 8'6" ceiling without a ladder. I didn't have any drips to speak of, but DO take the time to cover your nice floors before painting.
The thing that made the biggest impresion was of ease.....ease of filling the paint tube, ease in painting without constantly loading the roller in a tray, and ease in keeping things neat. It really works well.
On to cleaning. By this time I considered myself an expert, and didn't bother with the instructions. I looked at the size of the unit and decided to clean up in the bathtub. After 30 minutes I was done, and the bathtub was cleaned up. The clean up took longer than painting the ceiling.Read more ›
During painting, it WAS a time saver. Made sure to thoroughly read the directions, lubricate the O-rings, and prepare the room. Painting was a breeze. There is a slight learning curve using this powered roller because you do not want to push too much paint out to where it can splatter, but you do not want the roller dry either. You quickly get the hang of it. In terms of coverage and the final product, it is great. There was no streaking on the walls and this roller provided an even coat.
One reviewer commented that in the first use it does take one tube fill to soak the roller. This is correct. You fill the tube, it soaks the roller, and you need to immediately refill the tube again. However, this is the same with any roller and I do not find this a nuisance.
The weight of the roller is acceptable. It is only after a few hours of painting does it start to feel heavy, but again, with any roller this is going to happen because you are getting tired.
I did find on the second day of painting that the tube where you fill the paint started to leak a little. Every so often, some paint would bubble out of it. It was not horrible and, thankfully, we did cover our furniture and floors for protection.
Now, the cleaning of this roller IS a tedious process. For disclosure, it is only logical that ANY painting project you are going to spend some time cleaning painting tools. In cleaning this roller, parts need to be separated, need to get the tube and all the O-rings and the roller itself soaks up a ton of paint.Read more ›
