With Lock-n-Go Technology, the sprayer features quick, no-tool assembly.
|This sprayer's hopper adjusts easily to add attractive texturing to ceilings and walls.|
The award-winning Wagner Power Tex texture sprayer features a powerful built-in air turbine that generates enough air flow to spray professional-looking texture on walls, ceilings, and other hard surfaces. Because the turbine is built into the sprayer, there's no air compressor or long air hoses required. The turbine is rated at 120 volts, 3.7 amps, and 60 Hertz.
The Wagner Power Tex has received the "Member Tested and Recommended" seal and the "Contractor Tested and Recommended" seal from the Handyman Club of America.
Hopper Adjusts for Ceilings or Walls
The Power Tex features a large, one-gallon, two-position hopper that can be quickly configured for spraying either ceilings or walls without the need for adapters. Simply fill the hopper with water-based texture material--the same stuff the pros use--plug the hopper into a standard 15-amp wall socket, and spray. The hopper's three-point stand will stabilize the unit, making filling a snap, and the built-in arm rest will keep you comfortable while you work.
Lock-n-Go Technology for Quick and Easy Use
Featuring Wagner's Lock-N-Go Technology, the Power Tex is easy to set up and clean anywhere--no tools required. Assembly takes just minutes: lock the air turbine onto the back of the spray gun with a simple twist and fit the hopper into place on the top of the gun. Screw on the desired nozzle and the Power Tex is ready to go.
Cleaning the Power Tex is also a breeze. Simply remove the air turbine, hopper, and nozzle from the spray gun and clean with the included brush and warm, soapy water. Let dry and reassemble the unit for storage--it's that easy!
Create Professional-Looking Texture Finishes
The Wagner Power Tex includes three nozzles (small, medium, and large) and a variable-flow trigger for producing professional-looking textures: Acoustical Popcorn, Knockdown, and Orange Peel finishes. The Power Tex is designed to be used with a wide variety of water-based texture materials, including standard texture material, aggregated texture, unaggregated texture, and diluted joint compound.
The Wagner Power Tex is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

Anyway, after going to my local Home Depot, they wanted about $60 a day to rent a sprayer and since I wanted to take my time, this really wasn't an option. I know that Wagner states that this sprayer is really for touch up jobs and not exactly for doing a whole house but let me tell you, I did my whole house and it worked great. After practicing a bit in the rooms first, my results were identical to a professional job at 1/3 the price. I will tell you this, it is a lot of work and the hardest thing about it is removing the popcorn and preping the room. I know some people say to use a garden sprayer and then they sell this neat little scraper at Home Depot that you can attach a bag to so you don't make a mess but that scrapper is junk. If you want to move fast, tape up the walls and floor using plastic sheeting and use a garden hose with a 10 or 12 inch taping knife to remove the popcorn. You'll barely scratch the sheet rock underneath and you'll remove the popcorn in under 30 minutes per room. The whole process is truly a huge mess but the end result is a very nice looking textured wall.Read more ›
Original review was 2-star and the follow-up from me said I considered it a 4-star review now. Oversight on my part that I didn't change the actual stars. But, I personally would find it helpful to read a revised bad review but probably not fair to the product.
Original 2-star review follows:
It should be noted that I consider myself handy and have done several home projects and have had good results without knowing what I was doing and that I am normally physically capable.
After reading the previous reviews I was encouraged to purchase the sprayer. I played with the mixture's consistency and practiced spraying most of the morning and then tackled a small closet that included the ceiling.
It was messier than I expected with not just pieces hitting the floor but gobs oozing out of the nozzle and onto the trigger. (The instructions mention that some water may leak out of this area.) If you are an Amazon lady or trained with the military and are used to holding an AK-47 or lift weights on a daily basis you should be fine pulling and holding the trigger and holding up the sprayer to get the coverage you want. (I had to use two hands at times to keep the trigger fully pulled.) I only finished because it became personal after the first hour. I was trying to get the pattern that would match my existing texture so maybe I was expecting a little too much. (Professional texture man is scheduled to arrive in a few days.) I will still use the machine to texture the walls in the garage but I was not able to get the design I wanted for the house. I am good about reading and following directions so I do not think I could improve upon the performance except with maybe more target practice.Read more ›

Great paint sprayer. It only took me a few hours to paint my house whereas if I would have painted with a brush it would have taken me weeks to paint my housePublished 20 days ago by Susan Perna

It took a little time to find the right viscosity in the mud for a good spray. Don't tilt it too far back while doing ceilings. It will pour on you.Published 1 month ago by Michael F
You have to thin out the mix until it's of a pancake batter consistency.
Once the mix is mastered, it splatters really well. I like it. Read more
