Terry writes in a very organized and understandable way making complex issues seem simple and easy to comprehend. And including an MP3 of her hypnosis audio with the book makes it a complete package for anyone who wants to really dig into finding out why they're having difficulty losing or keeping off weight.
I think this book will add years to my life and give me a better quality of life as a healthy, fit, woman in charge of her own health.
What are you waiting for?
At first I read the book cover to cover and got an understanding of all the aspects of weight loss discussed by the author. Then I went back to each chapter for how-to on exercise, meal planning, etc. Each chapter can stand alone as a reference guide to that topic. That continues to be a big help.
I liked that the author doesn't just offer general solutions but gives detailed, practical suggestions on how to implement each one to truly effect change. In addition to giving the reader detailed examples of nutrition such as "starch exchanges" or specifying the exercise routines that build the metabolism, Currier demystifies often misunderstood "mind body" techniques like: hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique" (EFT), Yoga, etc. and builds a convincing case that the only path to permanent weight loss is through a truly holistic approach that considers all aspects of our lives. The author's integrity stands out among all the quick fix diet fads and pills we see advertised these days.
"Waist Management" not only gives you a road map to success but provides the details needed to deal with all the bumps in the road. It did for me.
