This book is a well-thought out romance novel which shows how life can often come around full circle and complete itself. Fate, destiny, call it what you will, the connection between the two lovers in this book is highly believable. The setting in Florence adds atmosphere and is beautifully described. It's gratifying to read a book where the lovers are mature people embarking on a new phase of their lives at a time when they believed their future lives were already set. Understated, and far more effective than graphic detail, this author can certainly write about passion!
This book was hard to follow, I wanted to like it, I liked the idea of the story. But I feel as though I could have done such a better job (and I am by no means a writer).
The story ended very abruptly. Things never for resolved, there was no sense of closure. I would never recommend this book...
