Susannah Valentine is rethinking her decision to join the FBI. Her first case hunting down the leaders in a human trafficking ring is destroying her from the inside.

The one thing that keeps her sane is her eighteen-year-old neighbour, Jasper Madewell. Their relationship is anything but conventional and she is quickly losing her heart to him. She knows deep down in her soul that she should stay away but when someone inside the FBI betrays her, she will do anything just to see him once again.

Jasper Madewell is far too beautiful and smart for his own good. He’s never kept his feelings a secret from Susannah and just when he might be close to convincing her to take a chance with him – their world is shattered in the most horrifying way.

The memory of Susannah is the only thing that sustains him through the savagery he endures but will she find him in time to keep him from paying the ultimate price?

Wait For Me is by far the most hard-hitting and emotional book that I have read in such a long time! The subject matter is quite disturbing but the characters and underlying love story make it impossible to put down. There were times when my hands would shake and I couldn’t stop the tears from falling. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride that you will never forget because T.S. McKinney and B.J. Grinder will keep you on the edge of your sanity until the very end…

Holly hell, this book took me on a roller coaster of a ride! It was dark, gritty, and a bit disturbing in some places, but it had to be. That's what makes this book a five star read. There was a lot of action and a suspense, which I love, and a great plot. I loved getting to know not only the main characters, but all of the others in the story. The author has a way of making me want to know what happens with all of them in the future. This is the first book by T.S. McKinney that I have read, but it won't be the last.

I am rather mixed on this book, I loved the plot, the characters were intense and easy to connect to, but it was long and it felt like three books in a series all put between two covers, giving you two cliffhangers in one book. That isn’t a bad thing, it certainly didn’t take away from the story and the interest I had, just a style that I am not familiar with so that was something I needed to adjust to.

Step one in the book we meet Susannah, Tyler and Jasper. Susannah is in her mid-twenties and has become a FBI agent because her father lost his life as an agent. She is fresh out of training, paired up with the sexy Tyler who wants more from her than a partner; he wants her to help in a human trafficking ring, led by Victor. Jasper is Susannah’s 18 year old neighbor who has a crush on her, unfortunately she has feelings for him but the age difference stops her from going forward with it. She is not even sure she wants to be an agent in the FBI, burn out had come early for her with all the evil she sees, but when Jasper is taken by the traffickers due to her inviting him to help track them down, she comes face to face with the horror they will put on someone she cares about to keep their freedom and Susannah’s silence. Not only was Jasper taken, but Ty was brought in because a “mistake” in information. With the guilt of Jasper being a sex slave now, Ty being almost killed and the FBI taking actions that was not what she thought, she ends up living with her brother and his lover, which leads us to step two in this book.

For almost a year she lives in the depression and guilt of what happened to her, Jasper and Tyler. Her brother and his lover, who is very rich and influential, try everything they know to help her get over this.

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads Review Team~
5 stars for this M/F with some M/M, M/M/M
My reason for wanting to read this book was that I had read book #2 Justice for Me, not knowing that it was actually the second book in a series. I loved that book and had to read the first one. Holy crap! This book was amazing! If you don’t like dark this book isn’t for you, it deals with sex slaves, rape, torture and a few other dark items. You can’t help but fall in love with Jasper and feel his every emotion that he goes through in this book. I can’t tell you how many times I cried while reading this book, not because I was sad but because I felt his emotions so strongly it felt as if I was going through everything with him. I wasn’t really a big fan of Susannah, she just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason, a reason I can’t really explain but I felt it all the same. It was a long book but well worth the read, highly recommend.

Firstly I want to say this book has a beginning, a middle and an end. This could so easily have been split up into a trilogy but the two authors have put it out as one fairly long book. However, just because of its high page count, don’t assume you will ever want to skim past anything, because trust me, every word is needed in this story.

I don’t even know how to put into words what it was about this story that made me love this book. There is no valid reason as to why I should like this book!

For a start I don’t really enjoy reading about Dommes yet the female lead, Susannah, was a Domme. I don’t normally read mm, yet most of the male characters were gay and engaging in gay sex. I don’t like forced sex, yet a lot of the sex was non-consensual. So why did I enjoy the book?

Well it was the combination of the characters and the writing style of the authors. I found it very easy to be dragged into each hellish situation. There was enough description that you knew exactly what was going on, without being sickeningly graphic.

I thought Victor and Nicholas were brilliant villains. They were evil, they were b@stards, they were c@nts of the highest c@nty degree. Victor was a sick and twisted b@stard. Nicholas was no better as he actually started the abuse under the umbrella of training Jasper to be the perfect submissive for Victor. There is nothing about Nicholas that can ever be fixed, he is beyond redemption. Not that he wants redemption, he is quite happy to inflict his sadistic, torturous regimes onto Jasper and the other kidnapped victims. I would actually say he is dancing closer with the devil than Victor. Victor is obsessed with Jasper, in a twisted f@cked up kind of way he was in love with Jasper.
