2016 release. On Waiting For The World To Turn, Palace Winter's Carl Coleman and Caspar Hesselager have pushed their unique sound into new territory. Crossing indie, psych, country, motorik, melded with electronics, the self-recorded and self-produced album is an intense, raw and rousing nine track collection. From ethereal opener 'Dune Wind', through to epic two-track, seven-minute album closer Dependance/Independence, Palace Winter's 2016 debut is everything that the hype around their debut EP gave them credit for; a supremely accomplished and accessible work from an exciting, upcoming duo. The album is the follow up to the duo's critically acclaimed 2015 EP Medication, which featured the Hype Machine #1 single 'Menton' and gained the band fans across the board from The Guardian to BBC 6 Music.

If you appreciate Kurt Vile, War on Drugs, REM and many other sensitive bands then you will probably get Palace Winter.
However, this album can stand on its own two feet without my other comparisons; just a very lovely piece of work!!!!
Lance's faves: Dune Wind (stunning bit of guitar playing here and a definite long road trip contender track), Dependence(slow and beautiful) and Independence(builds and builds up with a cracking energy and power).
