It is so hard to imagine the growth Green Day has became of over the years. They really have become a true example towards punk, all the way to contemporary rock. Their latest single is really no acception. Wake Me Up Before September Ends, the fourth single out from the 2004 highly-acclaimed American Idiot record, is a real tearjerker. The song is fairly well, but not one of those songs that stands out too much.I really liked the song at first, but it just became too much. It is a great turning point for Billy Joe and company, as they have shown their adult rock peers good music. As for the others, they'll just have to wait for another single, and this song to end.

Ich bin ein wirklich großer GreenDay Fan und das nicht erst seit gestern.Als beim Storytellers die Frage kam was er dachte als er diesen Song schrieb und er anfing zu erzählen das er noch nie über seinen Vater so geredet und natürlich gesungen habe und meinte das es hart wäre ihn zu singen aber therapierend als danach das Lied anfing kriegte ich Gänsehaut und als ich dann auch noch, glaub es war Vh1 behind the music,sah wurde mir nur bestätigt welch hammer Song das ist!Wake me up when September ends fing an zu spielen im Fernsehen und währendessen erzählte Billie Joe's Schwester von dem Tag als ihr Vater an Krebs starb und Billie Joe sagte "one week before my dad take his last breathe he gave me my first guitar" das ist wirklich so ergreifend und macht diesen Song einzigartig und Wunderbar.lol auch wenn ich jetzt so viel geschrieben habe und lang und breit ich denke aber das man es besser versteht wenn man auch das Hintergrundwissen zu dem Song hat denn dieser Song ist kein 08/15 ChartSong!!
