RADIO UPDATE: I'd try a $150 Devo 10, but then I'd be in for $300 and that doesn't really compare to a $250 Blade 130X BNF (don't we all already have a DX6i radio?). And you can get more flight time with the unfussy $150 Blade Nano CP X micro BNF than any larger outdoor CP heli. What to do?
I think the answer is, China can do better- like the superb and aggressively priced Syma Coaxials and Quadrotors, and the WL Toys V911 FP micro, for example. Is there a Killer Cheapo Chinese CP in the pipeline? Maybe I'll just try to wait and see...
I got this helicopter directly from Walkera. Fast shipment and nice prices as well, then as it was expected i crashed and broke the main blade grip.
I made then a new list of spare parts, around 60% of the price of a new helicopter just to be sure i wont be needed any additional shipment to repair my Helicopter.
Again the shipment was complete and fast, but when tried to replace the Blade grip, the screws did not move, were glued!!!, some blogs informed about this and their solutions: Heat the bolts with an iron tip, Cut the Grips and then remove the Bolts using grips, others used a dremel to remove the Screws... whas not promising the information.
Then i Contacted Abby from service support in walkera, she ask me for pictures, then told me to remove the screws warming up,( I tried that one before contact them ) then she told me to melt the glue, and i ask HOW THE HELL will i do it without melting the plastic around ?
She stop to answer me...even i was telling her step by step what i was doing to remove the screw.... then i moved to different tools and methods, the last one, was using a dremel to remove all the plastic of the Grips and left the Screws visible to work with them... i warmed up them again, then hit them, also used brute force and ant the end it stated to move... yess it was moving but to break. the screw loses its head and never never moved a single turn. Then i asked to the " Friendly" Abby about this and let her now the PN i need now to repair the Helicopter... she never answers me again.
Is a real shame, I have 3 different models from walkera now, and every single one has been good enough to fly crash and repair, but this one, is a piece of Crap... why they glued all the parts ?
