In this highly anticipated new season, we see Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., The Wire).
The Walking Dead, the most watched drama in basic cable history, returns for another terrifying and exhilarating season on AMC on October 13.

THE WALKING DEAD: Season 4 continues to surprise me!
Okay, I live in Germany, so, when I see this show, it is on the
Blu-ray discs I buy from Amazon.Com. The moment I saw
"The Gov'ner", THIS year, I began to steam. So he is a pathetic
character that seems to regain humanity from the villain he was
last year. Blah blah blah. Then he becomes the proverbial a$$-
#ole we all hated last year and attacks the prison-safe-house.
By the end of disc #2 [of 5], "The Gov'nor" has decapitated the
oldest member of the cast---that wouldn't harm a flea---and is,
himself, run-through with a sword. Symbolically: "LIVE by the
SWORD; DIE by the SWORD".
I binge-watched the first two discs the same day. I need a breath!
Now, if Ferguson, Missouri would just understand it...
"LIVE by the BRICK; DIE by the BRICK!"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
QUITE disturbing about the little girls... and the season cliff-
hanger is leaving BLISTERS on MY fingers!
The fifth disc is all special features.
I didn’t read the graphic novels, so I didn’t watch it at first. We got hooked shortly after season three ended and season four had already begun... boy I didn't know what I was missing! I had the wrong idea that this was just a gory, a cheesy zombie show with no real plot. I was mistaken and am totally attached to the characters.
I love, love, love this series and am always trying to find people to talk about it with! I will watch, and re-watch, and watch them a third time, usually in order, in between seasons to get my "Walking Dead Fix." In fact, I am watching season three (my least favorite, out of all of them, but still enjoy it) as I type this review. There could have been many times that this show had the potential to have gone too farfetched one way or the other, but they always seem to keep it as believable as possible with the content they are portraying. If fact they are almost too convincing. After watching the current season, my husband and I are seriously toying with the idea of installing solar panels on our house, and enough to make our house self-sufficient should something happens. I am not meaning a zombie apocalypse per say, but an extend power outage or something like that. It also inspired me to learn more about gun control, since my husband keeps them in the house and I didn’t even know the difference between the safety being on and off.
My one and only complaint about this show is when are they going to tell us how it all started? I keep trying to hypothesize or put details from Fear the Walking Dead together to try and figure it out but I would love to know what they say the real reason is, because I am sure it is amazing and something I couldn’t even imagine.
While many episodes follow separate characters in different areas, if you pay close attention you can see how each seemingly seperate plot is still intertwined, and new bonds are built all the way up until the pulse pounding finale! If you haven't watched any of the previous seasons I wouldn't reccomend starting with this one just because of how lost you will be with the lives and actions of the characters but if you are already a fan or have watched at least season 3 this is a can't miss!
And I can't forget to mention the loads of amazing behind the scenes bonus features and deleted scenes!
