In this uncertain world, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors must not only fight the dead, but also face a whole new fear: the living. In this 16 episode season, the series Entertainment Weekly called the “greatest thriller ever produced for television”, Rick and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous. This season also introduces new characters, including the Governor (David Morrissey) and fan-favorite Michonne (Danai Gurira), along with her zombie pets

The case has 2 drawers that slide out for you to place the heads in...there are no real instructions on who's head goes where, but in some cases if you have them wrong they won't quite fit properly. For the eerie effect that you see in the photo you add water to the drawers - we haven't done this. I don't want water anywhere near my movies. lol. The heads come with bits of "skin" to float around in the water too..uck. The trick is finding where/how you turn on the lights. Very clever hidden in plain sight button turns the lights on & off. I'm not going to tell where....no spoilers here.
The writing is complex with various simultaneous threads. Whether a character should be cheered or hated is not always clear; this is a necessity to add charm in such an interpersonal script. The omniscient point of view of we observers will cause us to seeth at the mere humanity of stupid choices or gung-ho Berserker-type charges into sure death, but this is what keeps us watching. We know that "in real life" we'd be prone to making the same mistakes. ...I can't tell you how many times I've dropped all of my bullets while reloading my pistol and facing a hoard of fast approaching zombies.
Makeup. Please... This series thrives upon excellent makeup. It is unbelievable!
Scenic seems appropriate to one without a script. The environment is very much to be what it should be, according to the action and dialogue. If this seems vague, it's in effort to avoid "spoilers."
Cinematography is well done. It may be tempting to become to "artsy" with this genre, but sometimes the audience simply wants clarity of communication. The real seller, here, is the acting and story; the camera resists the spotlight and allows the show to shine by performing their job to perfection. A resounding applause for the photographers! One with more ego could ruin the show.
There is so much more that needs to be mentioned, but we'll wrap with the actors. The story is excellent but without the passionate commitment of the actors, any script could fall flat. Suffice it to say that at one point of the series, my Facebook news feed was flooded- ...flooded with weeping viewers. I'm not kidding. The actors really sold this season, so far.
This is a good season, Amazon readers. I would recommend it to viewers who love drama and have a strong stomach for ...a moderate amount of gore (lest we forget, it is a zombie apocalypse).
Just an amazing cast of characters, well written show...for a girly single mom who owns her own business and hates scr ay movies...this is my absolute favorite show hands down
I am sure you already know what the show is about....
In case you don't It is a great show with a story line that will keep you hanging and watching for more each week. Yes, it has zombies or as they call them, Walkers. This isn't just another B rated zombie show though. It is really a great dramatic series that is wonderful for both young and old. Once you watch one season you will be hooked.
As I was saying, I bought this set and another for my Sister for Christmas and she was a happy Camper!!!
If you are looking for a new show to watch I suggest you start with season one of this show and add new seasons when you can. This is a show I will deffy own because it is one of those that you want to watch again and again and again.
The storyline is good, although at times can be a little slow, but it does spring to life with zombie attacks. It's turn into more a story of human interaction and survival, and not just zombie attacks. The attacks are just bonus. Some of the special effects do seem not as well done as expected, given movies nowadays.
For the fourth season I'm planning on buying a season pass for it.
