Love the video for this song, so fun with all the stars in it. From Annie's Diva album, it went to #1 in Canada, #8 in the UK, #14 on the US Hot 100 and #6 on the Billboard Adult Contemorary chart. Great song by great artist.

This video is one of my favorites. It came out about the same time as Dangerous Liaisons and that really is the theme for the video. It has a very young Hugh Laurie and a very young John Malkovich, and Annie Lennox is wonderful as a woman scorned. The music is a cross between an 18th century minuet and 90's rock and is perfectly timed with the video. This was when videos told a story and before music television became fodder for the masses.

When i purchase a song.I am always sure of what i want. And sometimes as an artist i know what suits my mood or the act i;m using it for. This song is one of my favorite when i;m dancing on broken glass on stage. The audience love it.They sing along. Its more refreshing when i play it at home..

"Walking on Broken Glass" is an electrifying song from Annie Lennox, when she went solo. It's powerful;it's great to sing along with. In the music video, Annie has two boyfriends- Hugh Laurie (Jeeves & Wooster: The Complete Series,House, M.D.: Season One) and John Malkovich (Dangerous Liaisons,Being John Malkovich) Eventually, she returns to her true love. This song is about abandonment, a broken heart, the broken glass... yet it's got an amazing melody and it's surprisingly upbeat. It outshines anything Lennox has done recently, including her song for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. That was a bit too mainstream. "Walking on broken glass" is anthemic and amazing!

Great song and the hidden meaning behind it is really good.

Who wants to feel like they are walking on broken glass around a partner, so this song is great.
