About the Author
New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.
When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

Hugh is a first rate businessman/resort owner. He owns several properties all over the world and feels most comfortable when he is in control of all things both in his professional and personal life. When he meets Aubrey in an unexpected way, it turns his world upside down, and he finds him self having a hard time distinguishing if these newfound feelings and attraction to Aubrey is for the best or not.
Aubrey is bumps into Hugh running from a situation she should never have been in to begin with. She takes delight in getting to know Hugh, but also has her moments of frustration with him as well. Hugh is a man set in his ways, and as compatable as they are, Aubrey may not be able to steer Hugh away from his controlled environment long enough for him to see the forest through the trees.
There are many personal obstacles both Hugh and Aubrey need to face and come to terms with. Their story, their attraction, their devotion to each other is enchanting. Seeing the other Shaughnessy siblings, their father Ian and their good friends make appearances throughout the book, really made me smile. I really appreciate how Samantha Chase carefully plots which brother will help who when, or add the right amount of comic relief when some was needed. And it was needed. There were some tough moments in this book that really hurt my heart, to the point where some tears were shed. There are tender, sexy moments too! I embraced this story completely, and I hope you will too!
Made for Us is Hugh Shaughnessy’s story. Hugh owns a string of hotels around the world. However, when he was younger, he was a rough, tough boy who didn’t follow rules or schedules or listen to his parents. Since his mother’s death, he is obsessed with all of those things. Plus, he has given up taking chances and never leaves his comfort zone.
Then he meets Zoe Dalton. Zoe comes to Hugh’s hotel to please her parents and get married to a man she doesn’t know. Fortunately, she realizes she that cannot do it. Instead, because of some mix-ups, Zoe ends up staying at the hotel and working for Hugh.
Hugh has a wonderful, loving family which includes four brothers and one sister. They are led by their caring, supportive widowed father. Even though, they argue and/or disagree, they are always there for each other.
Zoe’s parents, on the other hand, are aloof and undemonstrative. She has never heard them express their love for her. They are very strict and will not let her do anything adventurous or dangerous.
Zoe and Hugh have incredible chemistry, and it is exciting to “watch” them interact with each other. Their major problem is that Zoe, experiencing freedom for the first time, wants to experience everything at the hotel. while Hugh will not take any chances.
Ms. Chase does a fantastic job of allowing the reader feel their chemistry while they struggle to overcome their differences.
I loved this book, and I highly recommend it to others!
