Loved this book! The author has an amazing gift, both in the writing and the photography. It's a quick read and one you won't be able to put down...except to grab the tissues you will need along the way!

Beautiful, charming and heartfelt. It is a story of friendship, love and loss, of memorable moments. It's about knowing, and experiencing happiness. Companionship!

Beautiful!

I bought this book because my daughter went to Middlebury College as did the author (with whom I am unacquainted). I was so pleasantly surprised. I cried. What a wonderful, sensitive book, with terrific accompanying photos. "Pup" is an old dog with an attitude and stories we can learn from. A philosophy pervades the writing that is deep and wise. Pup could be your elderly grandmother or grandfather. It is a story of life, and death, the wonder in between, and acceptance of the impending end. So glad she wrote it.

A touching collection of reflections on life from a dog nearing the end of his, written by an alum from my alma mater, Middlebury College. As a life-long dog owner (and proud Middlebury alumna), this book at once moved me to tears and made me laugh. It is a heartfelt, honest look at what it means to live and die which, while written from the canine perspective, is strikingly applicable to humans as well.
