So I ordered this stool. This model is made in scandinavia and is rated for 440 pounds. It comes in a case and it folds down to about 14" long. It is easy to use, you fold out the legs into the tripod shape and then you pull out the lower legs. The seat is attached and spreads out as you fold the legs outward. It is a very fast process. To fold it up you do the same in reverse, pushing buttons to push the legs back in and folding everything back flat.
The seat is about as high as your average chair, like a kitchen chair. You put one point of the seat between your legs. It is a comfortable seat and angled such that your back is arched properly. It is comfortable to sit in.
I'm glad I bought it. I'll find it useful to use and easy to carry around.
Don't waste your time trying to save a few bucks. I weigh > 200 pounds and really didn't want to be sitting on something only to have it give way underneath me when I needed it most.
I also have some seriously bad problems with my back, hips and legs: Ankylosing spondylitis and spinal stenosis. As such, standing or walking for more than a few seconds begins to hurt, and the longer I stand or walk, the worse it hurts.
When a friend of mine (also very much eight-tiny-reindeer-sized) showed me his Walkstool, it went directly to the top of my, "Must Have," list.
I have a walker, but it's huge. I joke that it takes up about 13% more space when it's folded up than when it's open and in use.
It's not that much of a joke.
It's hard to lug around, and it doesn't fit into the back seat of any of the cars in which I ride and only fits in a few of their trunks. If I need to have it, I'm careful to make sure that I have a van available for the driving part of any excursion.
Otherwise, I'm pretty much house-bound.
The Walkstool, on the other hand, flips over my shoulder and off I go. If I need to take a bit of a break, it unfolds in seconds and it's a solid seat on all kinds of ground and floors.
I'm crazy about it!
The reindeer team seems happier, now, too.
First it is totally and completely solidly built. It has HUGE feet that makes it so much more secure. I had a lower priced item similar to this but always felt like it was going to tip over. This does not give you that feeling. It is extremely light weight and comes in a little tote bag that has a long sling like attachment Making it easy to sling over your shoulder. It has be used low to the ground or fully extended to a normal sitting height.
It is a comfortable seat and works in lots of different situation. I bought this for photography but have used it for viewing fireworks at the park, enjoying a concert at the beach, photography at a local sports game and for macro photography of flowers and butterflies.
I highly recommend this for anyone that needs a portable secure, safe seat. I will be using this for years and years.
two years later, still love the seat as does everyone who sees it, until I tell them the price ! ! however I am glad I own it. and would recommend it to anyone who can't afford to fall over, it comes in all different heights, according to ones height. buy it !!!!

Great product, but I thought it was adjustable and it's not, hence too tall. Need to give height in inches not metric.Published 1 month ago by Nancy R.

Not bad. Feels about as stable as a tripod can and weighs little. Slams the taint to no end though, so get a 65cm or shorter.Published 1 month ago by Lisa
