This is an amusing read once you know what you are reading. A la bridget jones, each chapter is a month, with the title referring to the heroine's progress in her pursuit. Quick, effective language. I personally would have appreciated an effort at more historically correct language. I think I would have reviewed this higher if I started out knowing I was reviewing some biographical fiction, such as The Paris Wife. I personally find it unsatisfying, as I am constantly wondering what is actually based on true knowledge. Once again, the give away is that there are no references at the end of the book.Read more ›
