This book narrates the harrowing and life-changing experiences of former abortion clinic workers, including those of the author, who once directed abortion services at a large Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas. These individuals, whose names have been changed to protect their identities, left their jobs in the abortion industry after experiencing a change of heart. They have come forward with their stories, not for fame or notoriety, but to shed light on the reality of abortion. They want their stories to change the lives of others for the better.
These stories are difficult to read, because an abortion is an act of violence, harming not only the obvious victim—the unborn child—but also the mother, the father, the doctor, and everyone else involved. But these stories also offer hope, for they show that anyone, no matter what part the person has played in an abortion, can start anew, can make amends for past mistakes. They demonstrate that the first step on that journey is telling the truth, as these courageous individuals do in these pages.
"Those of us that have worked in the abortion industry all live with a constant burden. We can't let our burden slide off of our shoulders; it is what keeps us on fire. It reminds us of why we fight so hard. We have seen death and evil in a way that most haven't—and we participated. But we are forgiven. He who has been forgiven much, loves much. And we love a lot. I am eagerly awaiting the day when we can call all abortionists and clinic workers former and repentant abortion providers."

I loved this book to the point that I was able to finish it in a few sittings. The stories are hard to process at times, but I was so curious as to what I would see next that I couldn’t put it down. I was pro-life before, but after reading firsthand what actually takes place, I can never condone abortion. This book clearly supports the preservation of human life and the protection of human dignity, which is something the world is sorely lacking right now. This book is perfect for anyone looking for the truth about the abortion industry, and I highly recommend it.
There are a lot of Catholic Social Teaching principle’s in this book including dignity of the human person, rights and responsibilities, and care for God’s creation. In this book, I identified the dignity of the human person because throughout the story, it talked about how every life is precious and each person has the right to life, especially the unborn. Another Catholic Social Teaching principle I found in this book was rights and responsibilities. In the story, a lot of the women’s reasoning behind getting an abortion was because they weren’t prepared financially or emotionally. I sympathized with their stories but realized that they are responsible for themselves. If they weren’t prepared to take care of a baby, then they shouldn’t be having sex. If they believe they are responsible enough to have sex, then they should also be responsible enough to care for a child. The last Catholic Social Teaching principle I found in this book was to care for God’s creation. In the book, it talks about a woman who saw her aborted baby and realized that it was an actual human person. In that moment, she realized that she was responsible for mutilating God’s creation and guilt overcame her. We are all responsible for taking care of God’s creation. Whether it be a flower or a person, it’s still God’s creation and we should all respect and care for it.
Aside from that issue, this is an eye-opening book. Some of the stories are sad, some shocking, while others offer hope. This book did leave me with a feeling of surprise that so little of the truth of abortion is public knowledge. These things go on every day, in every city in America, but the general public (even mothers who had abortions themselves) is largely ignorant of how the abortion procedure is performed in different trimesters, and of the fact that after the very few first weeks of pregnancy, the aborted fetus is a detailed miniature person with a heartbeat and brain, not just "a clump of tissue". There are POC (products of conception) labs across America in which workers routinely have to piece the dismembered fetuses back together to check for abortion completion, but most ordinary people are completely unaware of this.
I hope this book raises awareness of what abortion really is.

The workers that have told their stories are very brave & courageous for having done this & they know what they are talking about as they have actually lived in the midst of these clinics. The stories told are very hard-hitting and jargon free… Because they pack such a powerful punch I decided to read a chapter a day so that I could take it all in. I feel for everybody involved, the babies, parents, relatives & the abortion workers themselves. People matter & the suffering resulting from abortion is something that I would not wish upon anybody undergoing or participating in something like this…
I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewer who reviewed this collection of testimonies when they said that "Everyone must read this book".
I would recommend everyone and anyone who has an interest in the abortion world to read this; unlike other books which are a compilation of questions and answers, pros and cons, this book is merely a straight set of real tales from ex-abortion workers, so for this reason this book packs a certain punch that will blind-sight you at times and leave you winded.
I highly recommend it!
