Version 2 of the best-selling Faux Tape EchoBased on the hugely popular best seller of the previous models, the v2 offers the same purity of signal path, the same depth of tone on the repeats and most importantly, the addition of sub divisions on the tap tempo. |
Hybrid Design with Multiple Tap Tempo DelaysWith this, you can now have your delays come at ¼, 1/8, dotted 1/8 and triplet based on your tap tempo. With our hybrid design (completely pure analog dry path with the digital delay layered on top) approach, you get the best of both worlds. |
Primarily Analog-BasedNearly every part of the pedal, all of its major functions, are analog. The 'delay line' is the only digital part of the signal path. It alone being digital brings clarity and focus to the task in a way that analog delay line chips can’t really match. But everything else, all the absolutely vital filtering to carefully finish the sound is pure analog. |

Product description
The Faux Tape Echo delay has become a staple in Nashville and beyond, from masterful session guitarists to studio 'house sound' collections and of course seen on stages worldwide! Based around very carefully selected and very rigorously tested PT2399 delay chips, the Faux Analog Echo and Faux Tape Echo circuits allowed Brian to combine the note clarity of a sophisticated digital delay with an all-analog dry path (unaffected signal) and magnificent all-analog tone-shaping and modulation circuitry.

Ps I did an A/B comparison of all my pedals and the Ethereal was sdcond noisest in terms of hiss. Only a fuzz(Havalina) gave more white noise, and my ither fuzz(Octafuzz) had considerably less white noise. Ordered an HOF to replace the Ethereal.
The verdict is still out. Im not sure I fully understand how the pedal works, which is a problem because it should be easy to figure out for an experienced effect pedal collector. The echo sounds strange, the reverb is just meh, and the other bells and whitles are generally unimpressive. I havent been able to get any great sounds out of it yet, but Ill keep trying.
Bot much else to it. Watch the vids, thats how it sounds. If you like it, go for it. Im really happy.
Oh...make sure you have a power supply since this doesnt come with one.
This pedal can do it all and it's so easy to dial-in. Unrelated sidenote, the little gray pouch it comes in is a nice touch. Definitely worth the premium I paid vs the Chinese pedal market that floods Amazon with $25.00 pedals.
As my grandma always said, "You pay for what you get!" and I'm left very satisfied.
