Short story about a very tough girl growing up and finding the place where she belongs.

The story tells in a lively way how the girl goes from being desperate to find even the most necessary things in life, to finding a vocation to make wrongs whole and in doing so stumbling upon the one thing she never expected: a place she could call home.

The tale has a lot of action and some surprising angles in it, enough to keep you reading all the way to the end.

A book I would advise to people that like fantasy stories and fairy stories.

Loved it. A story about someone looking for their home, and the adventure on her way to find it. Its got everything you could want. A town terrified, a horde of goblins ready to attack, and dragons.

You'll enjoy this story. It's a fun read, with a good deal of action, and even more human pathos. Mountifield has reimagined the space of fantasy epic in miniature in this story in an intriguing new way. I found myself hoping there'd be a sequel, or perhaps another way to enter this story-space.

In between work, spy novels, and studying for the LSATs, I like to have some books that just let my mind take a break for a little while. Wandering to Belong did that for me. Before this book, it had been a while since I read anything with dragons and goblins and I figured this would be a fun, light read. It definitely was. This was a well-written short book that I read in a few short breaks at work. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take a break from what's going on around them for a while. I also have to add that the cover looks amazing.
