My Wandering Dreaming Mind Kindle Edition
"Children who get distracted easily will relate to Sadie and will realize they can focus on their positive qualities." —Oregon Coast Youth Book Preview Center
Sadie feels like her thoughts are soaring into the clouds and she can’t bring them back down to earth. She has trouble paying attention, which makes keeping track of schoolwork, friends, chores, and everything else really tough. Sometimes she can only focus on her mistakes.
When Sadie talks to her parents about her wandering, dreaming mind, they offer a clever plan to help remind Sadie how amazing she is.
Includes a Note to Parents and Caregivers with more information on ADHD, self-esteem, and helping children focus on the positives.

You guys, I cannot stress enough the impact this book had on my daughter (7) and we just read it LAST NIGHT! She was refusing to read with me (which interestingly enough never happens) so I read it allowed and by the second page she was up beside me listening very intently. She related to it so hard. This book also has a parent/caregiver note in the back that is informative and a little guideline that can help us parents when we don't know what to say or do or how to react. Especially if you're a parent who struggles with ADHD and executive functioning issues, but EVEN MORE to a parent, guardian, foster parent, adoptive parent, any type of role model in a child's life that DOESN'T have personal experience with ADHD.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2024I have ADHD (32 year old female) and I knew my daughter did too, she was recently diagnosed and is overall doing well, but I bought her a few ADHD books and they were so helpful! She really liked this one and another I think called whirling busy mind? I am probably wrong on that.

A lot of children these days are struggling with many issues and parents don't always know how to deal with it. I think this book will help them a lot. Also, a book that can be used by teachers. Highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2023I got this for my son but honestly it is now my favorite book for me! It so well expresses the feelings I had as a child with ADHD. It shows good examples of how to validate and express your child's genuine positives!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2022What a wonderful way for adults & children to talk about a behavior that's is hard to understand by many people. If more parents & educators could use these ideas... No doubt children / students would "feel" that their uniqueness is just that unique!
Illustrations are whimsical & charming! -- I hope there will be more in this series!!!
We are adding it to our church library! Great resource for parents & grandparents and even siblings to read as a family!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2020Read this to my son and he said that is exactly how his brain works. Very good at explaining ADHD to children.
