About the Author
After being exposed to international travel in college through a study abroad program to the Dominican Republic, Deidre has since worked, studied, and traveled internationally to more than 23 countries on 5 continents. Deidre believes there is power in exposing yourself to the world: the power of learning about different cultures, the power of learning new languages, and the power of growth as an individual. She believes that traveling should not just be a luxury solely for the wealthy. She is especially excited to share her personal travel tales in hopes of inspiring others to see the world. By the time she earned her master's degree, she had already taught English in South Korea, studied the Hindi language in India, and practiced Spanish in Costa Rica. After completing her degree, instead of putting it to use right away, she decided she would be courageous enough to quit her job and travel the world for a gap year to explore her life's passions- that is how "Wanderlust: For the Young, Broke Professional" was born. In this book, Deidre shares her secrets on how she was able to explore such beautiful places without having a huge budget.
