Short and to the point of how Zeus came to power. This read is not as long as you think it stops about 60% into the number of pages into the book and starts with an excerpt into the next book. I have to admit I feel really cheated when that occurs! I may start reflecting that in my ratings from here on out. I am expecting a full length novel not a longish short story with an abrupt ending. My me feel like I am paying for advertisements for the next novels!

When I looked at this book it had a lot of negative reviews and I'm not really sure why because it wasn't that bad. Someone complained that they had no idea the name of the female main character, when literally every chapter starts with someone's name and it is only ever in the perspective of the main characters. Someone else complained that it was hardly a book at all and yes I agree with that, but it states right at the beginning that this is basically just a prequel to the series, it's not meant to be a novel. Other people were complaining I think about how the FMC or women are treated in the book and honestly, this book is pretty spot on for how most alpha/omega genre books are. If you're not into it then you're not into it, but if you are, then this is no different than other books in the same kind of genre. No the writing wasn't like life-changing or anything, it was pretty basic and pretty basic kind of storyline I feel like, but it was fine. Not sure if I'll keep going with the series or not but people need to chill with all the negative remarks.

Be ye forewarned! As I open the first chapter, smoke immediately starts to come out of my Kindle. This is no Slow Burn, it immediately begins with a straight off the bat orange and blue blazing fire. I was holding my cup of coffee pressed to my chest not realizing that I had allowed the coffee to become colder than my own body temperature and holding my Kindle so tightly in my other hand that I didn't even realize that my fingertips had gotten sweaty and were starting to leave fingerprints in the case. The story immediately left my mouth gaped for flies as my grandmother would say, but I don't care. I could not put the book down from chapter 1. Who does that, apparently Laxmi! So at this point I'm left wondering, if the book is starting off this hot this fast there's no way it could possibly get better, so it's got to go downhill from here right? Not on your life! It is not for the faint at heart and totally, totally not for anyone under 18, but for those of you that are of age and are omegaverse fanatics you're going to need a cold shower after this baby! It automatically takes you right in to the next book in the series taken by the alpha which to no surprise begins just as hot and heavy. I guess it goes without saying that that is the next book on my list to be read.

Short prequel to a series. We meet Zeus who is an alpha in a world where there are only three species of humans. He is the son of the "General" of London. The b*****d son, of course. He has come to the General's stronghold to kill him and revenge himself and his mother for the treatment his father subjected them to all his life. If he is strong enough, he will be able to hold his father's position as the General of London.

Lucy is an Omega and her father is the Czar of Moscow. When the Vikings come calling he makes a deal to spare the majority of his citizens, he agrees to give them some of the city's Omegas - including Lucy and her sister Chloe. Lucy is not going along with that without a fight. She and her sister plan their escape.

There are some explicit sex dreams included in this book. Zeus dreams of an Omega that he has never seen before, and Lucy dreams of an Alpha she doesn't know. Stay tuned.

With an opening like that, who wouldn't want to keep reading! If that is just the dream side, can't wait for the actual happenings! :)
Laxmi has managed to bring Omega's and Alpha's back together with astounding refreshing telling.
From the HOT to also including rough fighting makes for interesting and changing reading.
I don't want to spoil it, so if you are tired of reading the same story lines from Omega and Alpha books - come back and read these.
Lucy is an Omega, being brought into the book as a dream. Will Zues find her or wright it off as a dream?
Can't wait to read the rest!

This is an intriguing omegaverse read. The setting is a dystopian world over ran with alpha, betas and omegas. All it took was a dream of a woman and Zeus was hooked. Now she consumes him and he doesn't know if she is for real or not. Zeus has a goal to get revenge but how can he when he is consumed with the woman of his dream. Will everything come to pass for him? this story grabs you from the beginning and have you wanting more!

I don't see the point of this book!! Just as you're settled and really getting into the book it ends!!
Ok so it doesn't just end there, as it's continued in the next book Taken!! But here's my issue, why?? Why do this book to begin with?? Why not just have it at the front of Taken?? It wouldn't be the first time you read a book and then, let's say chapter ten, would begin with, again let's say six months later, or however long the period is between Wanted and Taken!! It would make far more sense and as it's only around 50 pages long, It wouldn't make that much of a difference really and it would just carry on!! Instead it's done as if a stand-alone novella, when it's the first part of the Knotted series.
Oh well what's done is done and so let's just rate it as is!!
The book really seems to be showing some real promise, the main issues being that you think you've got a 96 page novella to read when I'm actual fact it's only 55 pages long and the fact , as previously stated, you just get into the story when it ends!! Also it's another one of Laxmi's habits has come to the forefront, yet again, and that is that each male "drums his fingers on his chest". Why does every single make in now six books I've read of Laxmi's, drum their fingers on their chests?? Why not think of other habitual things men often do, like run their fingers through their hair or pinch the bridge of their nose, there are so many to choose from so why doesn't she?? Maybe a question some one on her tiktok or facebook page could ask her?? Otherwise a good start and with all the hope in the world will continue to be a good book 😏

This story is mostly about two half brothers meeting and one brother Zeus, dreaming of his mate Lucy, who he has yet to meet. She also dreams of Zeus and apparently she her best friend and her sister are planning to escape their father to find a place they can decide their own mates... because their father plans to give them to some Vikings. Its actually only a very short story around 40 pages, with very little actual interaction with the main female and male as they haven't actually met yet, other than in their dreams. It's a bit of a pre-story for the series. It has alot of feelings and such for him and her which is OK as they are just dreaming, but the parts where they interact with others... her interaction is much better than his...in his interactions it seems there are alot of feelings about things so you kinda get bogged in that... hopefully it will flow better once they both are interacting and on their journey to meet each other in the series itself. It is a good introduction to the series

Zeus is what the author likes to call an “alphahole” Also known as the “Bastard of the East End” he is here to kill his father the General.
He hates him with a passion. Zeus’s mother was made pregnant by him, and rather than take her for a mate, he threw her into the streets, where she then sold herself so that her son could survive!! So that makes him the heir to his father’s estate.
Zeus wants nothing to do with it, but he will take command and lead this community the way it was suppose to be run.

Lucy is a Russian princess, but as an omega she has no rights, her father might have trained her to be a warrior, a free thinker and an independent woman, but with the Vikings at their door, her father bargains with them. And Lucy is just a bargaining chip!!

And a warning, this does end on a cliffhanger!!

Well this prequel to the Knotted Omega series doesn't half start with a bang. We get right into the action from the get-go. In a dystopian future where a genetic mutation brought on by climate change has split the human race into the following subspecies: alphas who are the predators and protectors, the omegas who are the nurturers and finally the betas who fall somewhere in between the two.

The story introduces Zeus, an alpha and the B*****d of the East End, and Lucy, an omega and daughter of the Czar in Moscow. I liked this story from the start and it looks to be a good set up for the series that is to come. Can't wait for book 1, Taken by the Alpha to be published as I definitely want to know more about these characters especially after that cliffhanger ending.
