There was nothing about this book that I didn't like. It's an excellent snippet of WW1 history woven inside the true story of a soldier and his stray turned war hero.

I don't know much about WWI but after reading about this wonderful smart terrier, I feel that we learned a lot from the men who witnessed the actions of this small dog during a very scary time. I understand more of the need to have dogs with our servicemen in dangerous situations.

This is a heart warming story. There is lots of information here. Some of the story is a little speculative, but it would make a nice gift for a child

This true story about an amazing dog is well written and takes you along on his incredible journey. It is heart stopping and endearing as well as informative about the war without being technical or boring. Animal lovers will rejoice, because he survives the terrible war!

Author did a good job toward filling in the many blanks of this story. Had read about this K-9 before. Would make a good movie the away the author wrote it.
