War Party started with my interest in Native Americans and theirconnection to the spiritual world, something that's been lost by so many of us. At the same time I wondered about terrorist plots and whatmight be targets of opportunity such as small, poorly defended towns.What would happen if heavily armed extremists were to systematicallyattack small towns? How would the authorities stop them? Theywouldn't. There are too many places to protect. It would be up to thetownspeople, unless someone came to help. Thus, Tommy's dream to be awarrior found a reality, and a vision to guide him to be at the placewhere he was needed when he was needed.

Native American with dignity

I enjoy a book that the pics native american this both says noble and salad bowl. More realistic that way. It was quite inspiring to see how this young man cactus heritage yes lived in the current world. I would have preferred however more about native american and his actions then some of the other characters.

This book is great. I read it in two days; I couldn't put it down. It actually made me late for work on day two. I love the style where there are short chapters going back and forth between the main characters; then it all ties together. I highly recommend this book.

Multi-threaded tale of alienation and threat

And it’s a beautiful tale of a young man’s coming of age, in a world that has forgotten the meaning of aging. I sincerely hope the author has more stories to tell of Tommy Galiwee.
