In this, the second in The Blackout War Series, THE WAR STAGE catches us up with the rest of the world (and supporting characters), giving insight into just what was transpiring elsewhere during the dangerous and clandestine Red Cell Operation. Introducing us to David's brother and former SEAL, Chase. His CIA boss Elliott. And Chase's love interest, and CIA operative Lisa Parker - as well as David & Chase's father, Admiral Manning.
The pieces are set in place, making for a more complete picture. Intrigue and international deception lurk at every corner. And in the midst of David's constant warnings (which not enough people seem attentive to), things look to be getting very interesting indeed - right at book's end. Meaning Book 3 is sure to be a rocking time. The only question is, "At whose expense?"
Some of the narrative is a bit heavy handed on the economics of it all, but it's still pretty well explained.
The action later on is well done and pretty plausible. I'm looking forward to the third, and I assume final, book in the series, set to come out in late 2016 or early '17.
I can't wait for the next book on "The War Stage". Hope it arrives soon.
I hope that Andrew goes on to be a prolific writer. I will certainly be a fan and read all of his publications. He is right up there with W.E.B. Griffin, Patrick A. Davis, etc.
