Much more cost effective than buying individual balls, I highly recommend this for anyone with small rodents.
Edit: The mice are now on the third of the balls, and they're chewing through that one very fast too. These are definitely a favorite with them. If we reorder I might try giving one to my hamster too (he's not a chewer) and see if he's interested.
Edit 2: We reordered, and they're just as great (also the string that the balls come on is a favorite, I tied it to the top of the cage and they loved it). They finished off the ball with the bell inside, and the bell appears to be inside a purple ball, which it seems they didn't chew. Much safer than just putting a bell in. We removed the ball and gave them new toys, without having to worry about it. I will note that the mice don't always finish off the balls, but they always chew them enough that we know they're interested and they've just chosen to hide in them or play with them another way.
He sniffed it for a few seconds and that was it.
I tried jingling the bells inside but it did nothing for him.
I put treats on it where I could but he was obviously more interested in the treat than playing with the balls.
It's an expensive toy just hanging in his cage now.
They chew them a little bit. They push them around too. A good purchase, in my opinion.
